My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Yours was the hand that broke the bread
that fed the five thousand,
yours was the hand
that handed the sop to the betrayer
knowing what it meant,
Yours was the hand that wrote in the dust
listening as the stones fell,
yours was the hand that reached out
a lover's touch,
waiting for the nail to fall.
Yours was the hand
that opened the blind eye,
Yours was the hand
offered to Thomas,
in joyful proof of the mercy of God.
O Lord,
Yours is the hand of mercy
your touch is life.
Amen

I would like to see the inside
of a melody, to see the dance
of the music clef and staff
to see the notes join in a song
or watch the inside of a star
come to life and shine so bright
There are many things I wish to know
how does a snowflake feel, does
it know it's beautiful
does the wind have a minor key
who played the first drum
On and on I could go
what makes a good poem sing
or what makes chrystal ring
I heard the ancients believed
the planets sang, each planet
had a tone and on a cold night
while in the night they could be
heard in harmony offering their song

Beautiful poem this morning. Thank You, Knitting.
To: bentfeather
You're welcome Ms. Feather. I'm not in a poetry-writing mood today. But ALWAYS in a donut-eating mood!

Coffee yes,
Donuts no
Into the gut
they do go
to turn into bottom
that won't go away
Make my jeans too tight
and ruin my day.
Coffee yes,
Donuts no.
Greasy daydreams
go, go, go!

Just to let you know, Knit, you are making me want to do bad things. Like stealing your "Ode to No Donuts". LOL!

These dragonflies might make some good bait. Got your fishing pole handy Unc?
NOOOOOOOOOOO using Dragonflies for bait!
I know the bass think their great
and fishermen haul them in little nets
that they skim across the waters of the pond.
We have no truck with them.
Dragonfly lives in this Lair safe and sound
to inspire all poets who visit here.
Not a hair oh his head will be harmed
or a basses belly will he charm. ;)
To: pelikan
LOL!
You may borrow it, though.
