[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Well, you certainly did try and did very good. I wonder if someone at the White House reads what goes on at FR? From some of his speeches I gather that someone listens to Mike Savage so perhaps they do.

I'd love to see the inside of your head! How do you think of these things?

I'd love to see the inside of your head! How do you think of these things?

Well, Judy, I have the gift of muse. I write Free Verse, no rules for bentfeather. A picture or a suggestion such as Geek's, fuels the fire for me. Sometimes the thoughts come in lines of verse. I put them down, capture them as it were. I go with the flow of poetry. I can't stand to read a labored over piece of poetry, one can tell it's taken hard labor to write it. Therefore, I can't enjoy it-it has to flow for me when I read or write a poem. I don't always hit the mark.

Uncle Shag, has been around FR for a few years now. He has posted his poetry on this thread. Well, about a year ago I guess.

So everyone meet, Geek De Jure, Judy's hubby, WayzataJohnn, a dear friend from years ago and Uncle Shag. Just say howdy to one another.

HopeandGlory is a regular here. She writes lovely Haiku.

Our youngest and newest member is Reaper Freeper. A lovely young lady poet.

Knittingaconundrum, is a long time FReeper. We welcome her lovely Free Verse Religious Poetry.

Scubie Nuc comes around sometimes.Where are ya, Scubie??
