Where can I find military data?

I'm tired of leftists making the claim "most Rebpublicans in Congress never served in the military". Where can I find some actual data showing which of our elected officials actually served? I'm tired of these traitors accusing Republicans and conservatives of being "chicken hawks"!

Most Congresscritters from BOTH sides of the aisle have not served. But what difference should that make? They were elected as politicians, not soldiers. They have as much standing on any issue as Hillary, Teddy, Harry, etc, etc.

Thanks. That list shows 108th Congress vets.
Senate: 35 served, 17(R), 18(D)
House: 121 served, 71(R), 50(D)

I don't see where leftists get off claiming conservatives and Republicans don't serve in equal numbers to Democrats?

You're welcome.

Leftists don't deal in facts. They will generally tell you what someone else told someone to tell them. ;)

I don't see where leftists get off claiming conservatives and Republicans don't serve in equal numbers to Democrats?.... The leftist say these things thinking that most Americans either are to lazy to actually look the info up...or they are just feeding propaganda to their masses that will believe anything that party leaders tell them..

Talleying that table gives 14 Senators with military service, 9 Democrats and 5 Republicans, 71 Representatives, 29 Democrats, 41 Republicans and one Independent (Goode, VA). Grand total of Congressmen with military service is 38 Democrats and 46 Republicans, with one Independent.

Most of the Democrats are older. People born after 1951 served in the Military in far fewer numbers than people born before. Don't tell me Teddy Kennedy spent two years in the Army because of martial ardor or that Charles ("Let's reinstate the draft") Rangel is a votary of Mars.

Among the Democrats it's overwhelmingly the old farts like Kennedy and Kerry who have military time. I'll bet there isn't one Democratic member of congress with military experience under age 50.

Ted Kennedy got caught cheating on an exam and got expelled from college. He joined the army to hide from his father.

Well it's true. Most Democrats never served, either. In fact look at the President, the Vice President, the Speaker of the House, the Senate Majority Leader, the House Majority leader, the Senate Minority Leader and the House Minority Leader and only one of them has any military experience of any kind, President Bush.

Who cares if they served in the Army? This is a staw man argument. Say "so what!"
