Well that certainly looks good, lobster and steak? Fancy veggies on the side. I'm hooked.
Do you cook?? I recently met a guy on line who loves a woman who cooks. He likes fancy fingernails and pedicures. How are yours? Maybe we work out a deal?
What part of this great country do you hang your hat?
Pictures?
Click my name for a pic of the view off my deck. I'm in CT.
I see we agree on the service of our vigilantes. God Bless America!
My christmas gifts consisted of a new set of some fancy pans and pots. I like to cook, but I don't for just myself, and when I have my girlies, it's quite hectic. If I had a reason and the time, I can make a heck of a mess in a kitchen.
I DO NOT have fancy fingernails. lol. Boots & jeans for this "kid".
I'm still researching...
I've only had experience with Dell and Toshiba - we had those at the places I've worked. In general, the Toshibas didn't seem as sturdy, though they had nice feature sets. Service was OK, though as with most companies, their first level support folks obviously worked from a script, and you had to go through a whole song-and-dance to get someone to come out. I've heard from some that their quality has declined a bit, but I dunno if that's so.
I've only had the chance to play with one or two Thinkpads...LOVED the feel of them. Really solid feeling machines with great keyboards. They have a rep for being dependable, if not flashy - they rarely include the latest and greatest. Wish they weren't so expensive. I've not seen the new Z60t in person, but it sounds like about what I'm looking for.
I'll likely end up with a Dell, I guess. It's what I have now, and it's been dependable, for the most part. And most places I've worked have had them. I know their service gets a bad rap, but with a little patience, I've never had them try to duck out of dealing with a real issue. So...there's that. Just wish they had a standard Inspiron model in the size I want. The 6000 is too big, most of the others are too small. Maybe they'll come out with something new before I'm ready to buy, though.
Some of the current HPs look really nice - I want a 14.1" wide screen, I think, and the dv1000 is priced pretty nicely. However, I've heard some horror stories about parts going bad on HPs in the past, so I dunno.
It's a crapshoot no matter how you look at it, I guess. Any system can have problems. I'm gonna keep an eye on reviews and all for the next few months! New Intel processors are coming out in a week, and I imagine a lot of companies will be revamping their lines and dropping prices on systems using the older processors.
A big amen
Thanks. The pics do not do it justice. Tonight there are a couple oil tankers anchored out in Long Island Sound lit uplike Christmas trees.
FReepers are welcome any time. The grill is down by the pool, and Jeff's Bar & Grill is always open!
Hurry while it lasts, divorce forces sale. :(
That's odd, me too! But then I'm a girl, suppose some people think it's nice to have fancy fingernails and toenails. I can do that...if necessary. On the priorities of life, they seem to come second..or maybe third...
Looking for a guy, fancy fingernails and toenails seem to not come into the equation. Character and decency are right up there on the list! A sense of humor is utmost.
I own a chainsaw, does that help?
So I can cut my fingernails finally!!?
Also IBM #2 in budget laptop was Think Pad R51-2883 1.5 GHz Cleron m 340
Work horse laptop #3 IBM Think Pad G41-2886 1.86-GHz Pentium4 538
Third behind HP & Dell only in convenience
Sorry that just stinks!
Agreed!

There used to be a huge ugly stump right about in the base of the stairs.
Happy New Year's Eve eve.....lol. I just put in an 18hr day and I'm MUSH!! :)
Put your feet up and join the fun.
It sounds like you deserve it!
You're not helping my Z60t lust. ;-)
Dell is definitely cheaper, though I guess you get what you pay for. I'll have to see what the future brings. Right now, I'm between jobs (though I'm hoping I'll get good news back on the interview I did a little while ago), so this is all just pipedreams.
You'll have to let us know what you do get, if and when you get it! Living vicariously are...well...me anyhow.
18 hour day? Ouch! Definitely time to relax for a bit!
