Be Alert, Be safe. Let us know when it's all blown through. It sounds like there's another system waiting off the coast to slap you around again on Saturday or Sunday.

You chased down Cameros in a Ford Station Wagon?

I did, indeed! And it was a full-size LTD, too! The big one, with the rear-facing back seats! That [sumbich] would scream! Those kids would pull up next to me at the light, and rev it up. I'd just smile. [To myself] Then nod once, in the affirmiative, while pushing the brake down with the left foot and the throttle with my right. Upon releasing the brake, we fired off the line like nobody's business. I enjoyed telling the losers that all that was under the hood was a 'just' 302... HAR! Ahhhh..

tsk tsk

Were you paying for your own tires? Somehow, I sort of expect this was your dad's machine. I've never known a kid to buy a station wagon

Oops, revise and extend time... I didn't HAVE to chase them. They were already behind me.

I have somewhere in the archives, a magazine article detailing how to transplant a 429 into a 1985 Thunderbird. [Biggest engine installed in those days was a 302--small block. Feh! Why didn't they install the 351 Windsor, a great engine?!] Wish I still had that 429 LTD...

I bought all my own stuff, and paid the princely sum of $100 for that big Ford SW, bought it from my boss at the tine, he bought a newer SW for his wife and kids...

a) Allergies. b) Asthma. c) Heartworms.

Good that I brought her in, and got (some) of her shots. Good call on being worried about a cough that I've not heard in over 20 years of raising all kinda katz. But Six is probably ok.

Best guess from the vet is that the dust off of the boxes in the house that is over 2 years old MAY... POSSIBLY... Contibute to an allergy. Heck... I've been hacking and gagging, and I haven't seen a Navy Corpsman yet to report to.

Sounds like the DVM may have pegged it. But we will watch out for b) and c). c) would be a bad thing(tm) [worst case], but Spook/6 will live a great life to her term, if that's the case.

Next visit in a couple of weeks, before I leave for school.

I'm all for the best option.

Excellent come back! I love that. I'm going to tell my husband that one; he'll appreciate it.

Holy crap! Cats get asthma? How do they use an albuterol inhaler? Just kidding, I had no idea that disease could venture over to the feline species. Jeez!

I had a series of Mark IV's from a powder blue one with suicide doors to a forest blue one with only two doors that each weighed the same as the QE2 (ed note: They didn't really weigh as much as the QE2, more like a toyota) They weren't quite so long, though. 8>)

Nothing less than a 464 in each and every one. Camshaft failure in the elder, Crankshaft failure in the younger... Pistons turned sideways and ran for another 80 miles &ct in betwixt.

I loved that dump-truck motor that Lincoln put in their vehicles. None of them failed (spectacularly) under 130K miles.

And the amenities were really nice.

Good question. I'll speak to the vet about that.... but I'll darn sure dig out my long welding gloves before trying it out on one of them.

Good evening.

Just got an e-mail from Doc.......thought you might find this of interest:

"On a mission the other day we found a small bunker complex out in the middle of the desert from the 1st gulf war. nobody really knows who built it, but it definitely doesn't look like one of ours. There was even some old school Iraqi ammunition in a crevasse next to it so we had to call in Ordnance to blow it up. That's about all the excitement in my neck of the woods."

Ka-BOOM!

Bet he loved it.;^)

He sounds like my younger daughter.

She also likes things that go 'BOOM' ;>)

BTW, 30 minutes on scales (all keys, followed with Twinkle, Twinkle, in that key) tonight. Followed by 20 minutes of playing from memory, since I couldn't find the light switch in the new house for that room.

I'll ask for better direction, once I've got scales and drills back in place.

My fingers ache.

Well, good for you! Glad to here you're back at the keyboard!

Just got back from an outing with my daughter.........dinner & a bit of shopping.

She's doing great with her new job....a bit stressed but I told her that's normal with new jobs. She was first (first!) in her training class and I can already see positive changes coming from all of this.

She's also looking to the future and her long-range goals & is starting to think AF again. A year ago this seemed preposterous. Now I'm not so sure.

Am looking at a 1986 Lincoln Super Coupe, new engine and trans, for a grand, and it's in restorable contition. [Read resalable!] One day, I'm gonna become a businessman, although it will be against my must basic tendencies...

Good for her. Challenge her to do more. AF is tough (not quite tough enough, in my book, but tough).

Heck... They took me back, and I can barely do 30 pushups. At my age... I should be retired.

But it's a good Service for smart people that can make a difference.

Your son would grin at what I intended to post. I'll tone it down a bit.

Support your kid, mom. Encourage her toward service for others. That's never a bad thing.

See... I didn't even have to use vernacular to 'splain it. ;>)

I love reading Ev's email messages you post here! And I can imagine how pleased with themselves the young people who found the bunker must be.

And fantastic news about Em, too. If you told us what her new job is, I missed it. What is she doing. First in her training class is a very nice PLUM.

Wishing the Mozie Kiddlings the very best!

I flailed a wall until I woke up a cat that complained. The light switches in this house are badly placed... until I figure out why daddy placed them there. And understand.

Always something.

And I don't really need a light to play the music I love. Daddy taught me that. :>)
