HUDSON, N.H. (AP) _ Police say skeletal remains found in the woods in
Hudson (New Hampshire) are those of a Nashua man.

Dental records confirm the remains found last month are those of 67-year-old
Henry Lawrence Holcomb the second. Holcomb was never reported missing.
However police connected him to a report of an abandoned car found about a
mile away from where the remains were discovered. That report was filed in July 2003.

Police don't suspect foul play.

A former neighbor says she saw Holcomb packing his van with duffel bags and a
bucket of wood during the July Fourth weekend of 2003.
Amy Mason says she never saw him after that.

This dead man was my neighbor, and in fact lived in my old apartment.
What Amy Mason failed to tell the police is that Larry's apartment was
absolutely packed full of stuff, old computers, books, unopened CDs
just about anything you could think of. And right smack dab in the
middle of his living room was a huge TV antenna like the kind people
had on their roofs in the old days.
Also contained in his apartment at the time of his disappearance were
six or seven pages written in big letters with a Sharpie.
These notes were paranoid delusions of being chased by the FBI and running in the woods to get away.
One evening about 2am Larry came walking up the driveway all dirty and disheveled.
Clearly Larry had issues or perhaps the FBI really was after him.
By all accounts Larry was very intelligent and had been some king of engineer in the military.
His storage unit as well as his apartment were full of some expensive scopes and meters.

The detective in charge of the case was very interested with all the info I gave him
this morning. This is a huge case in this area, the biggest thing the police deal with
around here is someone stealing money from their grandmother to buy drugs.

I've never known someone whose skeleton was found in the woods before.
It's kind of an eerie feeling.

Hi. It is very strange, I made copies of his notes and I'm trying hard to find them. The detective would love to see them. Reading them would send a shiver down your spine.

Reminds me of that Mel Gibson movie, Conspiracy Theory.

"Holcomb was never reported missing."

Scared off everyone who might have ever cared enough to notice, I suppose.

Unpleasant story on multiple levels.

He was a very pleasant person to talk to actually.
He also had a quite lovely girlfriend with whom he went skiing with often.
His disappearance is very weird :)
