I just need to know if Hamas accepted Abu Mazen's offer to sit in the Palestinian Cabinet.

You're in graduate school and you don't know how to do basic research, e.g., Google News?

I have to agree with him/her. It's not an insult; rather an observation. It just looks bad, that's all. I mean, there's a gazillion search engines, web sites out there.
When I was in college, I actually had to go to the (gasp) library to do research, since the internet was still in its infancy (early 1990s). Anyone in college today has it made. Information is readily available at our fingertips now.

So, you don't have anything better to do either. If you don't like the fact that I have posted on Free Republic then move on.
But no, I have to endure your insufferable and slightly arrogant post on how you are a better student than me.
Well, pat yourself on the back and be puffed up all day... you are my superior... you can do research, and I, obviously, cannot not.
You win the price.

That's not what I meant. I threw in some playful sarcasm, but nothing with the intention of being disrespectful. Besides, you're farther in college than I'll ever be (I never went to grad school).
I'm simply saying that all the resources are out there, at your fingertips. The age of asking questions where the answer is "yes" or "no" is long over, thanks to self-research via internet search engines such as google.
The internet has ushered in an era which promotes self-sufficiency. I'm just suggesting to take advantage of the ability to become more self-sufficient by utilizing the web to its fullest extent. You'll be less reliant/dependent on third parties and more empowered as an individual for doing so.

No, I've been living in a cave for the last 10 years, and I had no idea that there were such things as search engines and stuff like that.
And now that you've critiqued my study habits for a second time, you must be very proud of yourself. For you have shown me up twice. How grand for you.

The next time you come unto a thread and accuse someone of being (1) inept, (2) stupid, or (3) lazy... maybe you need to consider this.
Perhaps that person posted because of the limited access they have.
Where I'm at, my access on the internet allows me to go to the local newspaper and free republic. That's it. Nothing more.
So, I posted to freepers who would know the answer and would be willing to help me.
So, the next time, you decide to be rude... maybe you should take a moment and think... maybe there is more to this post than an inability to use a search engine.

To my knowledge that's not an issue till after the legislative elections in January, presuming they're held. Hamas candidates have obviously done better than expected in the local elections, so I doubt Fatah will win a clear majority, particularly with other smaller parties running. I'd presume they'd be a part of any "unity" government. Also, though all polls and articles I've seen refer to their candidtates as "Hamas candidates", which they are, it's possible they're running under another moniker. Like the "independent" Muslim Brotherhood candidates in Egypt. I'd check with a local Israeli consulate, I wouldn't be surprised if they could help.

Well... I don't believe that Hamas should be on the ballot, elected, or put in the cabinet.
Then again, I believe that only good terrorist is a dead one.
