The idea of longing for childhood is not unusual, but his is an extreme example.

Not believing in Santa was a crushing blow. The Easter bunny, Tooth Fairy, who cared about them? That was just silly. But Santa...he was special.

"Isn't often you see Johnny Mathis in the wild..."

"Hey look -- it's one of the kids from "Fame."

"Which one?"

"Any of them."

The unedited version supposedly had him dying in a crash, but even that makes his character pointless.

Yeah...just another way of dropping him out of the movie with no true explanation.

It's like someone wrote a rough draft of a movie and shot it without ever figuring out where they were going with it. Or made it as they went along without bothering with continuity. Continuity is for wimps!

I'm serious about Final Justice (MST3K). It's hilarious, too, which is really sad because it was meant to be a good movie.

Heh...such is all too often the case with MST3K movies...

In serious news, Robert Mugabe, the president of Zimbabwe, was supposedly gored by a billy goat:

Thank you, minor problem, they give us little certificates for turkeys and it's a huge company. As usual, I rushed right out after work and forgot to drive by and get the turkey they throw in the window as you pass! Ah well, if I lost it, it's my own fault.

I just recently cooked the turkey they gave me last year. I'm thankful, if I had to feed a family on what I make :), I would not have missed it and it's a nice gesture.

Do you have plans for Christmas? It's almost here! I hope everyone is able to spend time with family and if they aren't, to volunteer to a good organization. It does the heart good!

I have an incredibly vivid memory. I remember enormous details and stories from childhood...stuff my parents don't even remember.

I think the tooth fairy was the first thing I stopped believing in. No loss. I mean, come on...the tooth fairy...that's just gay. But Santa...now he's the real deal.

The tooth fairy gave me more money when I was at Grandma's house. Go figure!

My tooth fairy was a little stingy.

If you can get the turkey try to find a deep fryer with peanut oil.

It is like nothing you have ever experienced.

I'm just home alone. Did some volunteer work earlier this year, but I don't know the area well enough to know of stuff going on right now, and it's kinda late anyhow.

I'll still get to go to church and spend some time on the phone with family, and that'll hafta do for this year.

I knew the tooth fairy didn't exist pretty early on, but Mom and I used to play along that she wasn't the tooth fairy and I didn't know she was (does that make sense?) I'd write letters in the tiniest lettering I could do asking her stuff about fairyland and what her life was like and how she managed to take care of so many kids at once, and Mom would write back, also in tiny print - stories.

Silly, I suppose. But that was Mom. ;-) We had fun.

I agree wholeheartedly with you...I'm not a fan of oven roasted turkey, but there is nothing more delicious that a juicy, deep fried turkey. My mouth waters just thinking about it.

You have to know what you're doing, and take the appropriate safety precautions, though.
