I have been screaming this at the TV every time people discuss this propaganda film. Thank goodness they are talking about it now. The film is an all out assault on marriage.

And I wish they'd stop calling it a cowboy movie...they are adulterous gay shepards.

Like one of the writers at Polipundit said, if this is the best Hollywood has to offer it's no wonder why nobody wants to watch their movies.

I haven't seen the movie so I will refrain from attacking it too harshly. But from what I have heard adultery does constitute a major part of the films plot. This is an interesting point and one that needs to be made more vocally. As a side note, it goes without saying that adultery or any other sin is not an excuse for violence which must be strongly condemned as well.

I'm very grateful to read and hear some in media finally get this most significant offense about this film and to start addressing it.
I've been writing this all along and that is that the film features the adulation and commemoration of very bad character and immorality and that's even before they enter the issue of homosexuality.
With cunning, this wretched writing by Annie Proulx that was adapted to the screen, manipulates people into sympathizing about terrible lack of ethics and worse, attempts to adulate that which is very corrupt.
The film features two people who are responsible for committing with intention and lack of remorse, cruelty and bringing about suffering for those who they seem to "stalk" -- women they marry and then betray without so much as a tear, themselves even, their children, and then one another.
And it's coasting through as being called something it isn't because it engages the acts of male homosexuals.
The film really is a very ugly thing that no one should so much as pay a dime toward. I'm just glad that some among media are now writing about the real issues involved in it.
I heard a fanatical, liberal "film/gossip" columnist earlier on O'Reilly (FOX) who was so shrilly insistent that it was a "wonderful film," that I thought she'd bite someone.

What is it with sheep??????????? The towel heads can't just herd their sheep they've got to molest them. Freaking shepherds they leave the sheep alone and do each other. If I ever go into farming I'm gonna be working with cattle or buffalo anything but those dam* sheep.

Would the Episcopal Church have voted in as bishop a man who divorced his wife and moved in with another woman? I don't think so. However, it was so trendy that he divorced his wife and moved in with his homosexual lover, that they just had to honor him for that. We are a perverted society.

I won't be seeing this movie. I once worked with a guy who gave this assessment of a movie: "There are no fight scenes, no guns, no one is killed, no naked women, no fast cars, no explosions, no tough guys and no one you wanted to see die. Because of all that, it wasn't worth a ****."
I understand it is two extremely sensitive homos who give the sheep a break by getting it on with each other.

Would they applaud a film where a gay man has an affair with a woman and ultimately decides to go straight?

According to most reviewers this movie is not about happy cowboys (gays). Gay means merry, carefree, happy. Homosexuals are definitely not gay most of the time.
Going through life unable to have a normal human relationship with the opposite gender is anything but a happy life.
Hollywood will of course heap praise on the movie. That's another strike against it.

It's a typical pro-Left Wing Hollyweed production. What really bothers me is that because of the lack of creativity in hollywierd we can expect at least two remakes of this garbage.
