With 4 kids, i couldn't affford to be without it. A months bill is roughly equal to one one-hour session with a shrink.
My sanity is at stake too, but so far I have kept away from the funny farm with the help of videotapes (that is, the hundreds upon hundreds of hours of movies and tv shows I taped off of cable tv when I still had cable), and then DVD, and with the help of rent DVDs by mail services (Netflix and Blockbuster)
