Ok here's my two cents. John chapter one, "By him were all things made, and without him was nothing made that was made. God created all that was good, as a result, evil existed. Without evil there would be no good, good would actually be just the way things are, ie if you take out the valleys, then hills become prairies. G-d did not directly create evil, but evil is the absence of good, so by creating good, then he created evil by default. God is a perfect being, and would not create a world without balance. But this is just the ignorant ramblings of someone who has spent his entire life studying the holy scriptures of God. thank you, and God blessG-d created evil and good. Directly or indirectly, doesn't matter. Both exist. He has his reasons for it. Such knowledge is too wonderful for us.

Might I ask without offence why you won't use the direct word God, I'm sure you have your reasons, I'm just wondering what they might be.

Canonization is another name for mental cowardice. IMHO,I am sure the original Greek or Hebrew is the best version but only if enough study about the word usage, at the time it was written, is done.
Ppl who blindly accept the KJ versions, or any other, are putting a lot of credibility on Other ppl's ability to see the TRUTH. There is only ever ONE truth. There are many teachers and students. We are COMMANDED to constantly search for the truth and hopefully we will come to see it..

Just thought I'd toss in some food for thought...:)
This whole thread hinges upon what the original poster was implying, actually.
If he's trying to say that God is "bad and intentionally created evil", then we'd have a reason to be mad about it.
Not knowing what the original intent of the post is, I'm just following along with the development of the thread and [hopefully] learning new things.

I always counter study with the Strong's, I have not yet learned to read, nor speak Greek, Hebrew, nor Chaldea, but I do use the Strong's, and re translate the scriptures directly for myself.

My question though was not about the "Word of God", I was refering to your use of the term G-d.

(by the way, I do own a strong's)

Oh ok, now I understand. Its just a form of respect that some Jews don't spell out the name of God. No biggie.

I don't think he's trying to say God is "bad". I do, however, not think G-d is bad for intentionally creating evil. Like I said before he has his reasons and such knowledge is beyond us.

Ahh I see, that's cool. As far as the original point of my post, I was trying to say, pretty much exactly what you said. I may not have eloquted well enough, but I believe the whole bible, just as it was originally written. When John chapter 1 said "by him were all things made, and without him was nothing made that was made" I believe it meant just that. God spoke into existence everything that exists.
