Ok here's my two cents. John chapter one, "By him were all things made, and without him was nothing made that was made. God created all that was good, as a result, evil existed. Without evil there would be no good, good would actually be just the way things are, ie if you take out the valleys, then hills become prairies. G-d did not directly create evil, but evil is the absence of good, so by creating good, then he created evil by default. God is a perfect being, and would not create a world without balance. But this is just the ignorant ramblings of someone who has spent his entire life studying the holy scriptures of God. thank you, and God blessG-d created evil and good. Directly or indirectly, doesn't matter. Both exist. He has his reasons for it. Such knowledge is too wonderful for us.

Might I ask without offence why you won't use the direct word God, I'm sure you have your reasons, I'm just wondering what they might be.
