Same here, Tuesday, August 03, 2004. I had been lurking for some weeks, perhaps even a few months, I was hooked the first time I found FR. I saw a story on the local news about President Bush that moved me so I signed on and started a new thread in order to share it. Those who read it and left comments were very nice, as have 99.9% of you I've interacted with since. That's how I became a Freeper.
