"Special has been redefined." Didn't South park do this already? (And probably better!)

Thought you might be interested. Looks like the Jackass crew from MTV ripped off South Park!

Dunno if this is lawsuit territory, but it looks like a straight ripoff to me!

I was looking at the User comments, and they said that this project has been on hold for several years. The Farrely brothers actually passed on the idea to Trey and Matt. So the claim is that South Park actually ripped them off.

As the father of a 3yo w/Down syndrome, I kind of cringed when I first heard about the movie. The Special Olympics did endorse the flick, though. It supposedly does a good job of breaking down the stereotypes of not only people with Ds, but other disabilities as well.
If you find the Farrelly Bros. funny (which I do), it's their pretty typical, irreverent fare. If you find them offensive and childish, you're probably not going to like the movie.

I saw the trailer for this one when I went to see Saw 2 (surprisingly effective thriller, by the way) this weekend. I laughed in spite of myself. The South Park episode where Cartman tries out for Special Olympics was genius, this film just had appeared to have a bunch of prat falls, and every other scene seemed to involve Johnny Knoxville nutting himself and making whacky expressions.
For the folks who loved Jackass (and I admit, I laughed at that film), this is high art.
