Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Roger that. Browsed around and found it. Good heavens... something on "network" TV? You know... it's funny but I haven't watched network TV in a long time. Seems like I always end up on Hist, or Disc, or A&E or Spike or USA or whatever.

It's a very funny comedy filched from British TV. It stars the guy who was in
The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
In fact, since you're West Coast, you can catch it and its companion, My Name Is Earl. The hour before ER.
To: Ramius
I put it on and the girls popped out here like little gophers.
"Whatcha watchin'?"
(hehehehe...stuck his foot in the CAT scan anyway....)

"Earl" is about the funniest show on TV right now, imho...

This is the 2nd season, right?

We have similar TV habits. Our only 'network' viewing is FOX where we watch "24", "House" and "Bones", then "CSI" on CBS on Thursdays. We also watch Spike TV in the evenings to catch CSI re-runs.

I ~have~ gotten awfully used to this digital cable at the bach pad. Gotta get it at home one of these days.
I'm utterly dependent on the browsing and reminder gizmo that lets me go through everything that's on this evening.

Yup Ramius, Earl is a lot of fun. It's the only comedy I watch regularly. Heck, there's a LOT on network TV. '24'; 'Lost'; and 'Numbers' and one new one 'E Ring'. Well, not a LOT but several anyway. We're still a hold out, no cable.

Yah. I've become a big CSI fan. I love 24, but I can't stand it only one episode at a time. I need the weekend long DVD full-immersion. :-)

I can never catch CSI on the regular night, so I've caught up on Spike.
Love that channel.
They have this really hilarious show called MXC. Just great stuff. :-D

Digital cable is wonderful.
It's on my list of "wants". It'll get more affordable soon or they'll offer me a great deal. Almost everyone has it so they have to woo in the stragglers like me. :-)

LOL... I'll never admit to watching MXC.
It's just amazing that it really is a show in Japan. Sometime I'd like to see it as it really plays, with subtitles.

I near about split my sides once watching the girls dressed in these HUGH baseball-shaped costumes trying to run across this little bridge with the guys using these big swinging logs to knock the them off.
Oh man. LOLOLOL!!
It's just great. :-)

Yah. I didn't get any phone service here at the bach pad, I just got cable internet, and you have to get digital cable to get internet. Or-- said another way-- you get digital cable anyway if you get internet service, because the internet service rides on their digital equipment.

This is the 2nd season, right?Of "Earl"? Oh no, first season... in fact, they've only shown about 10 episodes or so.
To: Ramius
Makes sense.
No cable internet offered in my neighborhood yet or I'd prolly do the same. I'm sure they give a combo-deal when you purchase both services.
