Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's an expensive watch...$9.00 at Walmart.
But it has both digital and analog time, and the date, and alarm set are displayed graphically. It also has one of those buttons that lights up the display. That's what he kept looking for.
The analog time was okay, so I didn't notice the others flashing until just a few minutes ago.

If you go
here, and click on some of the pictures (#18, 19, and so on) you can see some Slidell Mud-out crews working.

Great link! Gimli's comments are particularly enjoyable!
If we are going to enjoy a movie, it is usually not a good idea to check the actors' politics!

Heh...When I was in the teens, we used to play tag with the neighbor boys (3 yrs older and they were popular in school) off the roof to our house. Run up the antenna ladder, across the roof and jump off the porch side which was a little closer to the ground...probably 7-8 feet off the deck. :-) My mom woulda killed me. I don't see how children live to be adults. I was reading this post thinking, "Yeah, I can see that. Crazy boys."
And then I read this part:
Mrsnad
And bust up laughing. You go girl!

I quilt it. Now it's bed.

I could use a comfey quilt myself. My toes have been cold all day. (We don't have much heat at work...)
To: Lil'freeper
I could just use the nap. I had a headache earlier and took a nap, and I never really properly wake up again when I do that.
