Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Good night moon.
Handsome groomsmen and groom, beautiful bride, cute kids, what else could one ask for for Christmas!! Welcome back, XGI, we missed you. LSA
I just want to say that dominoes are really quite innocent and much less intense than backgammon but hopefully have an equally nice outcome. So there ;-p
Heh, she knows that, but also knows that she'll be duly compensated with the delightful weather in the winter! We lived in FL for four years while SirKit got his PhD at FSU. I remember that April/May and Sept./Oct were still brutal, and she'll be at school during those times, but she'll be home in MA for the summer, when it's not quite as bad here. ;o)
I don't think dominoes is innocent at all... after all, isn't the point to get the dominoes to touch each other?
Very cute! I like it!
On that note... I'm hittin' the couch for some South Park on tape from the marathon the other night...
Uh-huh...
And what about Apples to Apples? Next you'll be telling us that *that* is a nice innocent little game.
The dominoes may have been but we sure weren't! Hmmm, we haven't played dominoes in a long while either. Probably because phone calls are better.
Since we played it with my family, well, I hope it is.
*snark* I realized, at my Mama's funeral, just who it is you remind me of. Alan was a good friend in college, about whom my Daddy used to say the same thing. "You know, Alan will make somebody a good wife! Actually, Alan married, and got himself a nice wife.
At Mama's funeral, it had been almost 20 years since I'd seen him. He came and stood next to me, and I was in my 'gracious family' mode and just glanced at him and smiled. He remained there, and when I looked back at him, he said "Don't recognize me, do you?" As soon as he spoke, I knew who he was, and we chatted and caught up for quite a while. I realized later, when you made some funny comment on the thread, that you and he have such similar personalities and sense of humor that it is uncanny sometimes.
Hmmm. Tell us more!!
Hey, howdy! Seen you in various locales around FR!
Hi!
Saw you around and about in forum as well.
Been wandering, as is usual for me.
Have you heard from her lately?? I miss some of the original HH inhabitants (not that there is anything wrong with the current crowd!!)
Maybe we could have some sort of Tolkien related project [he proposes after being away for most of the time for more than 3 years!!] Not in the HH of course, but in the HH topic.
I remember my first posting in FR regarding the LOTR, which was, as I remember, about 2 years before FOTR was released, under my old screen name. I was perhaps a little overly optimistic about the power of the LOTR project to improve our moral climate! Considering the continuing general decline in society's values, perhaps we could put in our little bit to help.
Well, if she didn't run screaming after THAT, she'd prolly be just fine.
WooHoo! You gots a future in country music, boy!
Now you KNOW you can't get away with saying only that. We demand details!
Clare and I met ecurbh in June of 2003. He was up here to visit family, and we dragged him to a Boy Scout picnic that I was 'hosting', then went to see TTT at the cheap theater. We met Rosie and some of her sibs in October of that year, I think it was, when I took Clare up to VT for a homeschool camp. IIRC, they were the only two I'd met before Entmoot.
