Freepmail checked.
I raked up only that little strip between my driveway and the nayber's yard and filled up the compost bin and my new raised bed. I need to get the tiller out there to chop up some leaves. Think I'll finish it tomorrow. :)
Well, things are looking up for the New Year, we're glad to hear it, best of luck to one and all. OB & LSA
Guess who's here?
(Jen. Posting from the car)
It's delicious. A lamb with cashew-nut curry, has numerous spices, uses ghee, yogurt, and lots of other good stuff. It's a great recipe. OT is joining us for New Years Day.
You'd BETTER not be driving...
Mmmm...that sounds marvelous!
Wish you guys weren't so far away...I'd figger out a way to invite myself over. ;-)
Yeah, I got an e-mail from a recruiter yesterday...think they're starting back in again. Unfortunately it was for a part time one or two month position. Ugh. I told him I could do an interview (after all, something like that would be better than nothing), but I haven't heard back yet, and in some ways, I'd rather not deal with it.
At least Tuesday is finally sorta close! Seemed REALLY far off after the interview!
If you can, make the scarf at least 7' long, including the fringe. When you go to put it on, do the same lanyard hitch. With the scarf folded in half, the folded end of the length of the scarf in one hand and the two fringed ends in the other. lay the scarf on the back of your neck with one tail being the loose ends and the other being the loop created by the fold. Bring both ends down at the front of the sweater, then bring the loose ends through the fold and pull them down at the front of the sweater. That's why a L-O-N-G scarf would work best with this, and since it's so skinny, it won't be a big old hunk of scarf at the front of the sweater. It's a really cute scarf fold that I've seen all over, but only just figured out how to do. D'OH!
Well, I'll fix the peas, but I ain't eatin no collard greens!! Hasn't hurt me so far, either!
We usually do Chinese on New Year's Eve, but we're changing it up this year. It's just the four of us, so we're going to the Canyon Cafe, a new Tex-Mex place here in the area. It has great food! We'll likely go in the late afternoon, before the crowds descend, then come home and just veg until midnight and have some champagne.
That's an interesting food list! Whatcha makin?
WooHoo! Now that's a GREAT anniversary gift for both of you! I'll be praying specially hard for the two of you this weekend!
Funkle a doodle do!! Glad to hear Talon made it safely. Hope y'all have a great 'Meet the Parents' weekend!
I'm making Lamb with Cashew-nut Curry for New Year's Day. It's wonderful!! BTW, the pickled watermelon rind is a condiment, it doesn't go in the curry, but a dab is great on top.
We used to have a Canyon Cafe in Kansas City, and OB and I ate there several times. It didn't make it, and I think the location was the proble because the food was delicious. I bought one of their cookbooks, and have made several things. The Poblano Chicken Chowder is out of this world! LSA
Heh, if you have any left after breakfast, bring 'em along. :-)
The dining room table seats four; :-) But to make by show-time, it would mean you leaving after your party and driving straight through. Probably not a good idea.
Think I'll save it for the evening. Collards don't go so well with coffee.
That looks doable...the fringe. Thanks! I'm thinking probably two strands in each stich would be enough, huh? It wouldn't need to be super heavy...just enough for trim.
For the scarf tying part...heh...I'm gonna hafta read that over a few times.
It's about four inches wide...do you think that tie would work? If it'd look cute *and* keep it in place so I'm not fidgeting with it all evening, I'm all for it!
Right now it's about four feet long, but it works up fast. I've not spend much time on it today...need to work on it this evening, I guess!
Heh...probably not. But I may need the recipe for next New Year's! ;-)
