Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh, I did miss. I'll have to see if it'll download properly where I've got my computer.
Going grocery shopping for the big Christmas meals this morning. Then apparently my uncle is arriving, and it's my brother's birthday. I guess it's going to be a slightly busy day.

Saw Narnia last night. Whew! Great movie!
It was the first time our entire family ever went to the cinema...a normal full-price cinema! We went to see Hitchhiker's Guide together...that was the first time we ever went out and saw a full-length movie together, but it was at a dollar theater.
Narnia was truly excellent. Joshua was just transfixed...wouldn't even take his jacket off.

I want to see it again before it's out of theaters. I'm still not sure Aslan was as he should have been - CGI still isn't perfect - but it was, all in all, a great movie. I thought the kids did a great job - the youngest two in particular.
Only a few hours until I head out for my interview - eek!

Good luck!
We're starting our last day of school before our Christmas vacation!

*sigh* I still can't get a hold of my family. Keep getting the message that "The party you have called is not available." Usually that only comes up when they've got a person on call waiting already, or are ignoring the call waiting signal, or are on-line. But it's making me wonder if something's wrong with one of their phones. I called Jim last night and he said he hadn't been able to get through to them either. Grrr!
Not only do I want that address, but also they don't know about the interview (would like their prayers!), AND today is Dad's birthday. So...I'm aggravated.

Certainly a monster from the fishes' point of view!
Her paws always look so huge - and she loves using them, doesn't she? Like a little raccoon...

I've got coffee now... have you got trouble? :~D more or less, yes.
To: HairOfTheDog
Tats!
How I love little kittens! Your monster pics fill me with warm fuzzies. Thanks!

Yesterday she was looking in the fish tank like that and for a minute she grabbed the top of the tank like she was gonna jump up on top! There's no lid on it.
I didn't stop her, I grabbed the camera and just watched her think about it... was that wrong?

I'm so glad your boys liked it. Turns out, David hasn't seen either
Goblet of Fire OR
Narnia! I guess this means we'll have to go see them again, with him.
*sigh* The things we parents are willing to do for our kids. ;o)
