I just saw the Chronicles of Narnia. I have only one thing to say: don't listen to the media critics!!! It is easily one of the best fantasy/mythology movies that I've ever seen. I expected to have wasted good money on a ticket, but it actually turned out to be a clean and decent movie that still managed to be extremely entertaining. I would have to say that this movie is better than LOTR Fellowship and Two towers.
The Nozdrul (i.e. black riders) rode pigs in "Bored of the Rings".
Have you watched the movie?
My seventeen yr old daughter liked it so much yesterday, that she went again today with a different set of friends! I hope you enjoy it as much as she has!
"Esso Extra!" cried Bromosel...
(Deliberately keeping it out of the Hole)
Anything else you'd like added? Removed?
I have the full-size version to email to you and lost your address since last time :(
Thinking of adding a tabletop creche over on the right :)
That's very good :~D Lovely! I'll FRMail you my addy :~D
I haven't seen Narnia yet, but am anxious too (prolly next weekend).
But, I love the LOTR stories and movies. I read them in high school and didn't discover Narnia until college.
Not to be overly critical (like you appear to be), but your simple entertainment preference makes it appear that you don't understand either work for what they really are.
I'm glad you liked Narnia. But comparing it to LOTR isn't really helpful.
Yeah, but Beavers in Chain Mail ROCK! :-)
Remember, LWW is meant as a children's tale, not the epic that LOTR was designed to be.
The scale of characters, cinematography, etc., reflect that.
LOL. I've gotta FIND that damned book. Either that or buy another copy somewhere
Would you ping me? (I assume this is for Tolkien people.)
The Twenty-sixth thread of the Hobbit Hole!
No review required, but if you've got the time, t'would be fun.
