Where is everyone?
Has there been a zombie apocalypse, and I and maybe small clusters of underdog-type survivors are all that's left?

Yep, we are the undead. :)
I've been on the Canteen thread as usual, but I'm still here.

(The U.S. should adopt the policy of Oom Shmoom: Israeli policy where no one gives a sh*t about U.N.)

Here I am, was busy yesterday.
If you look in the Southwest sky after sunset, you'll see a very, very bright star. Actually, it is the planet Venus and it is only almost .4 astronomical units away from us (quick math, 40 million miles) which is pretty close. I have astronomy program in my Palm Pilot and from what it says Venus is at -4.7 magnitude which is very bright, the brightest object after the Sun and Moon. Being Christmas time, I wonder if it was how the night sky looked when the Three Wise Men followed the Christmas star. If I may use a "Jerry Garcia, Grateful Dead" type of voice then I say this, but I can say, "awesome and cool, man." B-)
