The finished product will be a little different from what I sent you, but it's all good. It's 3 1/2 pages altogether. It's good enough for 'em.

If only in college I had written papers with such feverish dedication.

That's the problem with term papers.
Do I really care about examples of modernism as found in the works of F. Scott Fitzgerald? Or Crane's use of naturalist settings in relation to the character journeys? (The answer is no on both counts.)

WEll, actually, I did learn all that stuff in college, so might as well remember it...education isn't cheap, whether I care or not.
Ahh...Crane and naturalism.

Ouch. I know. If I ever go to college it will be just a community college. I cannot afford anything more.

Yeah. Here part of it is I do not even know what I want to do if I need an alternative to writing. The other part is I want to write.

It is FINALLY on it's way out to Camarillo, California. I took it to the Post office today-- both copies of the script, the treatment, the application and the entry fee. Now, it is in God's hands, if anything will become of around 3 years of hard work, and over 12 years of an idea.
My greatest hope is, that I win first or second, prize, and that someone picks up the script, to turn it into the movie I know it could be, one that will set Hollywood on its ear, and send them a wake-up call, that a good, thrilling action technothriller CAN be made, without all of the usual filth, perversion and foul language that accompanies such works. Not to mention, allow my mother to retire, and provide me with the funds needed to enter the inventive field, and no longer have to worry about not being able to pay the bills.
I want to thank several here, who walked me through figuring out how to properly number the pages, as requested by the contest. I was hung up on how to get the printer to place the number in the top corner, and several FReepers showed me how. Now, both copies are professionally numbered, edited to the best grammar I can do, and on their way out to the Kairos competition.

Hey, Rca. I'm glad it's all good and done, and loads of luck to you on that.
Did you see the big long winded vanity I posted? It's in Bloggers & Personal right now.

AS I said, you should try to sent it to some national papers, like the Washington post, times. New york times, Chicago tribune, and maybe the LA times.(ALL of it,BTW) It is THAT good, and so correct. It is NOT too long, or boring!!
VERY well done, my friend!!

I can't think of a single one of those papers that would actually publish it. Still, it would feel awful good to send it to 'em and if they read it, it makes them seethingly angry. Maybe the Weekly Standard would run it?
