Yesterday my husband and I were doing some errands. We were stopped at a red light and woman in a truck pulled up beside us, but just a little ahead. On her back window was a sticker that said, "I f#$%ed your boyfriend." (it was written out, no symbols like I just did) She also had several other offensive stickers, but that one was by far the worst. When the light turned green we got up beside her, my husband honked several times to get her attention but she wouldn't look at us. She finally did and I mouthed "you pig" at her. I'm just glad I didn't have my 5 kids with me, included my 6 year old who likes to read everything she sees, out loud.
those parents and GRANDPARENTS that endanger children by allowing them on the front seat unsecured, or even worse, on a lap.
I don't particularly like to see that either, but it happens in my car from time to time as well, but I would rather see that from time to time than more "I F'd your boyfriend" bumperstickers. Public vulgarity and a lack of respect for everyone around you is what is going to do this country in. Not secondhand smoke. Not global warming. Not poverty. Not our water supply. And not unbuckled seatbelts.

You're breaking the law. Plain and simple. And you're endangering your child. Nice parenting skills there. Hope you don't get in an accident when you're running late to drop the offspring off at daycare.
I agree. It really worries me if righties give the lefties a good reason to say that we are politically intolerant and that we don't respect our own principles.

I want to clarify my post that said "ignore it". I meant, ignore it as far as the woman is concerned. Like my original post said, if your kids had been with you and noticed it, I would very much NOT ignore it with them. It would be a good time to have a lesson on proper language, and consideration of others, and what the consequenses would be if they engaged in that type of behavior/language. That is not ignoring the problem. If there is no law and you think there should be take it up with your congressmen or whoever. But reacting as you did , IMO, is exactly what encourages those type of people to keep on with that type of stuff.

Hey, did you get snow and ice up there? It's colder than gee-whiz down here. We got some light sleet and ice but my kids went to school this morning, 2 hours late.
We've got maybe and inch or so of snow. It is very very cold here today. I just got back from town and it was 19. Tomorrow is suppose to be back in the 40's tho.

I don't think I would have mouthed anything. I would have asked her out loud if her mother is as trashy as she is. I remember telling a customer that her foul language is a disgusting example to her children and she's not fit to be a mother. She proceeded to cuss me out loud and threaten my life. Too bad. She demonstrated her glaring lack of education and manners and folks (including my boss) were high fiving me aferwards.
But back to the topic at hand, the poster of the thread did just what the idiot with the bumperstick wanted. She got very upset. That is the point of rude bumperstickers.
Public cussing is a big pet peeve of mine. Yes I do cuss sometimes but always under my breath and I never curse in front of my mother. Once I said a-hole and she asked me if I grew up in the gutter with vagrants. Enough said. Just like folks who wear shirts with cuss words on them, bumper stickers are designed for attention. Anyone with cussword stickers is an attention whore.

Even though she cussed you out, I bet you made her contemplate her behavior. Hopefully, she made some changes.

First I whispered underneath my breath and she heard me. I had no choice but to repeat myself out loud. She was pure trash and needed to be told about herself. Of course, these days I don't that anymore. Lots of folks are carrying guns or have boyfriends who carry guns. You have to be nice and tactful now so people don't blow your brains out.
Oh, that woman was a whore, all right, and not just an attention whore. Can you imagine in this day and age, of rampant STD's, AIDS, etc., bragging to everyone who drives by you that you sleep around???? Is this the kind of person that every nice boy wants to bring home to meet his mom?
He may not want to bring her home to mom but she sure is 'advertising' as my mom would say.
