We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
John sKerry on Disgrace the Nation answering a comment from Bob Schieffer ["Democrat Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, he takes a very different view, Senator Kerry. He says basically that we should stay the course, because he says real progress is being made. He says, 'This is a war between 27 million Iraqis who want freedom and 10,000 terrorists.' He says we're in a watershed transformation. What about that"]:
I don't agree with that. But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is, you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment; you've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis, and there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the -- of -- of -- of -- historical customs, religious customs, whether you like it or not. Iraqis should be doing that.
Sadda, announced today that he will attend "an unjust court."
In Berlin, Secretary Rice stressed the United States does not condone torture.
And an Iranian military plane has crashed, killing 128.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Excellent news indeed. Now, on w/the Court's proceedings w/out Hussein. (He'll have time to rinse out his undies.)
I just did a Wikipedi (I know, they're suspect) and I think I'm associating that quote with another person. At least clark has been consistent with his anti-american activities. Now who am I thinking of? Wasn't there someone in some war capacity in the Johnson admin, who helped escalate the war who, only a few years ago, announced that even as they were sending more troops to Viet Nam knew that they weren't going to let us fight to win that war? Does anyone else remember this?
It was McNamara, I think.
Good morning folks! Found out last night daughter was involved in a fender-bender which will take her car to the body shop. The other driver was a taxi driver with no drivers license!
So, I now have to scramble to make alternative travel arrangements for her as she won't be driving that car in time for Christmas break. Bet the taxi wasn't even scratched.
Nobody hurt, that's the most important thing. I'm off to make phone calls.
We did watch A Charlie Brown Christmas last night!
Good morning, Molly!
It's Steve Maltzberg! He's excellent. You must have missed it yesterday when Bill announced that he and either Seth or Jeff were going to Florida on a business trip and they will be back tomorrow.
Might think about it, but you're absolutely right. Our Christian heritage allows compassion and forgivness to overide every other emotion we have.
(My daughter had a similar experience several weeks ago, and the garage supplied her w/a loaner car.)
Counter the Hate Michelle Malkin on the "hate greeting card" affair...
And from Michelle's blog...I found this milblog: run, unusually I think, by 2 women, ex-military patriots..Euphoric Reality
Thanks 2/3rds! How you holding up out there?....Denver son wrote that he almost blew off the roof of his parking garage at work the other day...Considering his size and strength, that's pretty amazing!
I don't know about Iraq, but where I work, under the sarongs, the men do not wear underwear.
Yes, that early schedule works well for you...saves much time and aggravation in the long run.
Good morning, Jem! BTW, I was hearing on one of the talk shows that clark also went to the defense of some Nazi (forgot his name) some years ago that allegedly was responsible for the deaths of ~12000 jews.
Among his complaints yesterday of being mistreated in prison (HA..he should talk), Hussein said he had not had a clean shirt or clean underwear since he had been flown in to attend the trial. Ironically, while the tortured survivors wept and recounted the horrors his orders had inflicted upon them and the deaths of their loved one, he was P.O.ed about his B.O.
I'm doing fine now that the worst is behind me. Those wind gusts on Monday peaked out at 98 MPH.
She said if she loses her son in Iraq, she is GOING TO BE ON howard dean's DOORSTEP!!!
Some of the most egregious "news" during that anti-war media time was the every-night "body count" given out on TV.
