I'm just surprized that the headline didn't attribute some irreversable damage to the lake, due to the SUV coming into contact with it. That is some sort of a record isn't it?

The Land Rover was found upside down 35 feet below the water.

My mistake. The car wasn't IN the water (despite what the earlier paragraph said) it was BELOW the water. That must have been where the wind was. Water must have a different density there. When I try to put a layer of air below the water, it bubbles out.

It isn't like she would have been able to drive the vehicle home if it hadn't gone in the water. It sounds like she left the lights on, and would have ended up with a dead battery anyway. I wonder if she remembered to turn off the engine and take it out of gear.

This newspaper is published in the NW suburbs of Chicago by Paddock Publications, Inc. Thankfully, they are giving the Chicago Tribune a run for their money, in terms of circulation, etc. - thank goodness. Ever since the Trib got bought out, I believe, by the same company that owns the LA Slimes, it has gone down the liberal-MSM tubes.

Look at the length of that incline.
That SUV had to have an Automatic Trans.

What size car\truck in a simple rear-ender is going to cause a Land Rover to jump out of Park and into Neutral, bypassing Reverse, then jump a curb ?
Nor is it going to roll that much that far with a simple fender bender.
and if she had the Emergency brake on, it's not even close.

Either she left the car running or someone purposely rammed\pushed her car into that pond, or both.
