Ok, my second vanity, even though I had earlier promised that I would only post one. However, I felt that this was important enough to post here, where good people pray for those that really need it.
Got this e-mail from a friend this morning and I am asking you for some of that special prayer support that one only finds here.
I thank you.
"My Dear, dear Friends, I have some very sad news. My niece Sara xxx, my sister Fran's daughter, was beaten to death by her boyfriend this past Friday in Hawaii where she lived. She was also pregnant and after much testing on the fetus the doctor's determined that the baby could live outside the womb, but recommended it stay in-uterine for another 2 weeks. Sarah has been on life support since she entered the hospital and was proclaimed brain dead on Sunday. She is being kept medically alive for this gestation period. My nephew/godson Mike xxx went to Hawaii to be there with her because Fran is going through chemotherapy for ovarian cancer and couldn't travel at this time. One redeeming note, if there can be one in this situation, the man who did this to her is in jail. Also her two children weren't there when it happened.
This ordeal is so surreal. You only hear about this kind of incident happening in the news or movies not to someone in your own family. My sister is a pillar of strength and her son is truly a man among men for the way he's been there for his mother. I know you all have your own family ordeals, but I wanted to let you know about Sarah since some of you knew her and my family.

Prayers for this injured family, my FRiend. Such a sad story!
Maybe out of this horror some good can result, such as a healthy new baby's life and maybe Sara's organs can be donated to give someone else a second chance at life as well.
Warmest wishes for a peaceful Christmas (and complete recovery) for Fran and her family.
Lord, look upon this poor family,
so distressed,
so burdened,
so grieved.
Give them the strength they need
to deal with the dark days ahead.
Help bring this child to term,
and watch over her in a special way
all the days of her life.

My sincerest & most urgent prayers for Sara's baby to continue to be held in God's arms, safe until born. Additional prayers for Sara's other children & the family that they may find comfort and love through this terrible ordeal.

Hope this works out. Hope the Docs are off on the terminal diagnosis, can we ask for a Christmas Miracle right about now.

Geeze.
Prayers lifted up. Why God in Heaven doesn't just wipe us off the face of the earth often amazes me... but only for His son's sake. Peace, strength and comfort to you and your friend and their family for healing and of course for justice for this crime. For that poor woman to have to endure the trials of chemo while grieving her daughter's death and then the added burden of who will care for the grandchildren... it's just a lot to bear.

I am still praying for your friend's unborn grandchild. I am so sorry and so angry that these things happen. Words seem so inadequate in these times.
Jesus, protect this baby. At this time of year we begin to celebrate Your birth. Please allow us to celebrate another birth of a child during this season of miracles. Amen.

Deeply sad, on so many levels.
Stories like this only go to prove the failure of the modern liberal-complex feel good womens libber agenda.
And to show us the wisdom of generations, particularly the wisdom of fathers of young girls, who strive to make sure and fellow who approaches his daughter has at least SOME redeeming qualities.
Many will say this is all the perp's fault. It's true that he is mainly responsible, but there is another issue.
Where are all the MEN in our society? Where are the MEN who would have sensed this guy was bad news, and given him a lesson or two before he ever even had a chance to do what he did?
It's an indictment of all of us.
MEN protect their wives and daughters, women and children.
And now we find out all our cowboys are gay...
I'll tell ya, when the wrath finally arrives, we WILL deserve it!
As promised, an update on Sarah. Been OOTC since 12/3, had some difficulties FReeping due to corporate policy, etc...
Anyway, a baby boy and some other good came of this tragedy. Thanks to all here for your prayers. I will be relaying your thoughts to my friend, MJ, Sarah's aunt.
