Ok, my second vanity, even though I had earlier promised that I would only post one. However, I felt that this was important enough to post here, where good people pray for those that really need it.

Got this e-mail from a friend this morning and I am asking you for some of that special prayer support that one only finds here.

I thank you.

"My Dear, dear Friends, I have some very sad news. My niece Sara xxx, my sister Fran's daughter, was beaten to death by her boyfriend this past Friday in Hawaii where she lived. She was also pregnant and after much testing on the fetus the doctor's determined that the baby could live outside the womb, but recommended it stay in-uterine for another 2 weeks. Sarah has been on life support since she entered the hospital and was proclaimed brain dead on Sunday. She is being kept medically alive for this gestation period. My nephew/godson Mike xxx went to Hawaii to be there with her because Fran is going through chemotherapy for ovarian cancer and couldn't travel at this time. One redeeming note, if there can be one in this situation, the man who did this to her is in jail. Also her two children weren't there when it happened.

This ordeal is so surreal. You only hear about this kind of incident happening in the news or movies not to someone in your own family. My sister is a pillar of strength and her son is truly a man among men for the way he's been there for his mother. I know you all have your own family ordeals, but I wanted to let you know about Sarah since some of you knew her and my family.

I am adding the family to our Prayer Board at work.

"WE" are not alone on this earth as long as we have our FAITH and others like all those here who come together at least to offer our prayers for people like this.

The proof of GOOD people in this world is having the number of people who care enough to come to this thread--and see who NEEDS our prayers and giving them.

What we need is to find the others who are PREVENTING
" Good " people from trying to protect folks like these and tell them to get out of our way when we do try to pass laws to GET people like this off the streets!

As I have read here--"..why didn't anyone else SEE this guy was bad news.."--even so--what COULD "WE" have done about it??-it seems that the Criminals have TOO MANY Rights!
If he WAS either arrested from earlier attacks--the politicians have to know that a line has to be drawn so Criminals do NOT get these rights to go back and visit their victims-or be allowed back into a House just because he's the Husband;Married or not -some kind of WATCH list-esp. since he was violent before -should have been maintained by the police.

While we pray and keep people like this is our prayers and memory--let's also let OTHERS like our politicians know--THEY have resposiblilities too to if not HELP prevent things like this from happening -to at least let us help ourselves PUBLICALLY recognized situations like this early--
( The violent criminal's identity is PROTECTED form have their name made public!! Why??!!)to at least stay out of our way when we try to pass Spouce abuse. Enough " P.C. " in this world.

God Bless them--and don't worry--the GOOD PEOPLE hopefully will not forget about this small child who will need everyone's help later as well as now.

A young pregnant woman was recently discovered in a shallow grave here in VT. When she had gone missing her boyfriend was all over the news begging for her return. He is now in prison, charged with murder. I wish VT recognized the humanity of the unborn child, for two lives were taken in this heinous crime.

I do not know when statistics began to be collected on this, but back when Chandra Levy went missing (and then Laci Peterson) I came across an on-line (ABC News) article about the phenomenon of pregnant women being murdered.

In many, many cases of abortion, it is the father of the child that insists on and pays for that to take place. He will threaten the mother with abandonment.

It seems that failing to convince the mother to abort her child the male will take what for him is the next 'logical' step: if the mother won't "take care of the problem" for him, he will "take care of the mother."

Oh, women! Be on your guard!

Care Net Pregnancy Centers exist nationwide to help women in crisis. These Centers are connected to other local service agencies for housing and multiple other helps.

Lord God in Heaven, capture the hearts of the fathers and return them to their children, lest you come, and strike the earth with a curse (Malachi 4)!

It is rationally impossible to cheapen the life of one class of persons without cheapening the life of all. Women and children have always been the weakest and most vulnerable. God's heart has always been with the widow and the orphan for this reason: these need Him most!

O Almighty God! Strike the hearts of our men as with the sharp edge of a plow on fallow ground! Stir them up and plant Your Good Seed in them for the harvest! Raise up workers for Your Fields! May Your Word go out with power and signs and wonders to the men. Deliver them, Our Deliverer! And build our houses. Amen.

My prayers are with you for Sara, Sara's baby, and for all involved. I pray our Lord Jesus Christ will demonstrate His hesed, His Life and Light in the midst of this great darkness.

Thank you, dear FRiend, along with the rest of you that have shared your prayers and thoughts on this thread.

I received an e-mail from my friend, MJ, after sending along my montage of messages from Freepers from this thread.

She and her entire family (sister Fran and the kids) were blown away.

Sarah was not what you would classify as a conservative, let alone a Bush supporter or a Freeper....;-)

But, as usual, it wasn't a case of us vs. them. It was Freepers pulling together vs. wrong.

I've been thinking about how this would have played out if Sarah was a Freeper and the same thing had happened.

The DU would have had her twisting in hell along side President Reagan.

Thank you ALL, for your heartfelt words. You were a major lift for a family when they really needed it.

Somebody help me out, here. I can't put this together tonight. Sara's mom Fran is not doing well and I'm losing it in the e-mail thing with Frans sister.

I'm in Oregon with my sister who is dying from ovarian cancer. The doctor told me Monday that it could be anywhere from a week to 3 weeks. My initial goal was to get her back to Illinois if she could handle it because that's what she wanted. I found direct flight for her from the Angel Flights organization. I told her if I couldn't get her back to Illinois, I'd bring Illinois to her. Unfortunately, that's what we're doing now because she's too weak. I will keep you posted. I'm not on email very much, but I try and check it once a day. Keep her in your prayers.

Fran absolutely has my prayers.

Who has custody of Sara's children? They have already been through so much, I pray that they are being loved and cared for. I am so sorry that they have to suffer another great loss in their lives.

May He guide the hands that are caring for Fran and instill in the caregivers the wisdom to make the best decisions. Sara's two older children are now living with her ex (their father) and baby Josiah was adopted by Sara's brother and his wife.

Does Hawaii have the death penalty? Hope so.
