Thought you might be interested to see the latest from the NFL regarding the Giant TD's:

The NFL said touchdown catches made by Jeremy Shockey and Amani Toomer shouldn't have been ruled completions.

When one takes the 15 points wrongly awarded the Giants according to the NFL it's not nearly such a close game.

The overwhelming post-game consensus is that the Giants looked to be the far superior team. The 16 penalties (the most the Giants have committed in one game since 1949) killed them, as did an unusually bad day for a good kicker. NY would probably win 7 or 8 out of every 10 games they play against Sea.

First downs: NY 25, Sea 17

Rushing yards: NY 166, Sea 127

Passing yards: NY 324, Sea 228

Time of possession: NY 39:21, Sea 32:54

They'll probably meet up again in the playoffs, and the better will win this time if they do.

Hindsight is 20/20; the referees looked at each play and called it as they saw it. If the NFL could revoke victories after the end of the contest, imagine how radically different things would've been in the past.

Oh well. A loss is a loss, close as it was.

I'm surprised the NFL chose to comment on those catches. Don't they normally stay quiet, unless it's a major game and the call was controversial?
