The overwhelming post-game consensus is that the Giants looked to be the far superior team. The 16 penalties (the most the Giants have committed in one game since 1949) killed them, as did an unusually bad day for a good kicker. NY would probably win 7 or 8 out of every 10 games they play against Sea.

Game stats:

First downs: NY 25, Sea 17

Rushing yards: NY 166, Sea 127

Passing yards: NY 324, Sea 228

Time of possession: NY 39:21, Sea 32:54

They'll probably meet up again in the playoffs, and the better will win this time if they do.

I'm sure the consensus of Giants fans is that they looked to be far superior...one might consider that a homer perspective. Truth be told, they did look good, just not far better as you claim.

The 16 penalties (the most the Giants have committed in one game since 1949) killed them, as did an unusually bad day for a good kicker.

The Seahawks awarded a gameball to the fans that were responsible for many of those false start penalties. Noise at an away game is part of the NFL...the Giants will have to learn to deal with it better...but they're still a young team. (at least that's my perception).

NY would probably win 7 or 8 out of every 10 games they play against Sea.

Highly unlikely...unless the referees continue to make bad rulings as the NFL admitted they'd done for both of the Giants TD's. Take those away and replace them with field goals and it doesn't get near overtime...and that's assuming the kicker makes the field goals. I will let you in on something...the Seahawks did not play near their best game. Partly that was attributable to the solid D-line the Giants have...partly they played under their ability. Not sure how it'd work out over 10 games...really, it's just a guess on either of our parts. Game stats: First downs: NY 25, Sea 17 Rushing yards: NY 166, Sea 127 Passing yards: NY 324, Sea 228 Time of possession: NY 39:21, Sea 32:54

Only game stats that matter are points. But if you remove the overtime period that shouldn't have been required had the game been called correctly the stats change quite a bit. Tiki had one run for 49 yards by itself in the OT.

They'll probably meet up again in the playoffs, and the better will win this time if they do.

There is a good chance of that. Best of luck vs the Cowboys...I really don't like those guys, hope you do well.
