Dang. A tough loss to swallow; coming from behind to tie it at 21-21 (is it too early to start calling Eli the next Montana?), only to lose late in OT.
3 missed field goals.
16 penalties.
But think about this; it took Seattle most of OT to finally get a field goal. The Giants had three attempts; had any one of those made it, we would've won.
The pundits are going to call Seattle the best team in the NFC...and their record would certainly indicate such. Nevertheless, the Giants suppressed Shaun Alexander for most of the game, and we stood with them all day.
Jay Feely had a bad day. That, and the penalties, cost us the game. Now we host the Cowboys in our own stadium...and I have to say, I'm feeling good about our chances.
Bring it on Cowboys. The Giants are ready for you.

The winner of next week's Giants/Cowboys game will win the NFC East, in all liklihood.

Even so, you have to admit, when it came to entertainment value, the Giants/Seahawks game was incredible.

Dallas won the first match up 13-16. The margin of home field advantage. Of course like you pointed out, Dallas gets 3 extra days to rest and prepare. It should be a great game and a close one.

Watching the Giants commit more penalties than in any game since 1949 and their kicker miss 3 potential game-winning kicks is more like torture than entertainment...

Some great games today...3 excellent OT games, Rams come back over Houston, SD comeback over WASH and that great NY/SEA game...
and now we get to watch the Jets and the Saints!!!woo-hooo!!! this should be the game of the day s/

Unbelievable game.
The Giants are for real and looked like the better team tonight.
I look forward to the meeting next week.

It was a great game.....but truthfully I didn't like the incomplete call against Shockey. He traveled a couple yards with the ball with a defender in tow.
Aw well ......Bring on the Cowboys.

I wouldnt want to be Feely right now.
The 54 yard miss is acceptable, the 2 other game winners missed will cost him his job.

I think Feeley's through. The first one of the three he should have made. I think Coughlin will be unforgiving here.

Losing a close game is one thing (especially on the road), but losing like this -- with a gazillion penalties and three missed FGs -- is miserable.
If the Giants are one of the top three teams in the NFC, then I expect the AFC team to win the Super Bowl by at least 45 points!

Yep...best football game I've seen in a while. Unfortunately, we lost, but a great FB game.

Not from a Giants fan's standpoint, but that of the network's.

No question...the AFC is the much better division.

He traveled a couple yards with the ball with a defender in tow. Except that he didn't have control of the ball...it continued to move in his hands as he was trying to gain control...then he dropped it (with help, of course).
Be that as it may, excellent game.

Now you know how Cowboy fans feel this year. ;o
Even though none of our many cliffhangers lasted that long!

My Seahawks are trying to kill me. I'm hearing you there...couldn't keep in my seat...had to keep pacing.

Yeah, but even neutral observers don't like to watch games that are riddled with penalties/mistakes. The game had no flow. Ugliest contest I've seen in a while, no matter who won.
