Dang. A tough loss to swallow; coming from behind to tie it at 21-21 (is it too early to start calling Eli the next Montana?), only to lose late in OT.
3 missed field goals.
16 penalties.
But think about this; it took Seattle most of OT to finally get a field goal. The Giants had three attempts; had any one of those made it, we would've won.
The pundits are going to call Seattle the best team in the NFC...and their record would certainly indicate such. Nevertheless, the Giants suppressed Shaun Alexander for most of the game, and we stood with them all day.
Jay Feely had a bad day. That, and the penalties, cost us the game. Now we host the Cowboys in our own stadium...and I have to say, I'm feeling good about our chances.
Bring it on Cowboys. The Giants are ready for you.
I think Feeley's through. The first one of the three he should have made. I think Coughlin will be unforgiving here.
If the Giants are one of the top three teams in the NFC, then I expect the AFC team to win the Super Bowl by at least 45 points!
No worries, I'm sure the Giants will beat the Cowboys next week.
There's something seriously wrong with the OL penalty calling. I was listening to the game on the radio and the announcers seemed quite surprised at calls against the Giants, and no-calls in favor of the Seahawks.
That one hurt.
