This forum is to help us get through the offseason by posting news, silly season rumors and anything else devoted to Nascar.
Great finish yesterday. I would have loved to see Martin win one more this year but it was still a great finish.
Well get yourselves off to a slick track or something and keep the adrenalin going! :-)
He was so close. I was trying to push him ahead there myself!!
I ran into a guy today who used to work for ESPN. He had great stories about hunting with Dale Sr, fishing with Texas Terry and Bobby.
No team orders in play in that finish.
I can not imagine going 180 MPH, 12 inches away from another car doing 180 and losing by 14 one thousands of a second (.014).
If he ahd put one viagra tab in the gas tank, perhaps the bumper would have stretched out enough to win.
Sounds nice and I'm sure most of the drivers are really great people as well.
Don't think it will sink in for a day or so, about practice or qualifying time.
Hopefully most of the musical chairs er.... cars is done so we can get used to who's driving what. Someone wrote a funny article a few weeks ago like the Abbott and Costello who's on first only about Nascar. It was quite funny.
Should we start working on our league team for Daytona now?? lol
Might as well, then maybe we can get a top five! We both did end up in the top ten.
Ugh, I cannot stand Tony Stewart. Maybe if the guy bathed and shaved more than once a month...
I'm really disappointed in Rocket if this is true. From Jayski.....
Per Jayski:
Robin Pemberton, NASCAR's vice president of competition, invited Rusty Wallace to the microphone within the first five minutes of the weekly prerace drivers meeting at Homestead on Sunday. Wallace, who went on to finish 13th on Sunday evening, drew a standing ovation from the drivers in the room. Everyone stood, with the exception of Penske Racing South teammate Ryan Newman, who has been at constant odds with the 1989 Cup champion."It's been a great ride," Wallace told his fellow drivers. "I can remember when I came in, it was [Cale] Yarborough, [David] Pearson, [Richard] Petty and [Dale] Earnhardt. Now those guys are all gone and you guys are all here. I'm looking forward to life after racing. And if I've roughed anybody up along the way, I'm sorry. I didn't really mean it, unless it paid more."(Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
Yep. Be sure to buy a program. Ninety days and counting...
Remember, this too shall pass. :)
Please!!! This is a family forum.
But it was darn funny...
