[snip] . . . However, the entirety of one blog was not yet deleted, and in that weblog, created using a variation on Kara Beth's "KareBear" screen name, she had pasted, on October 17, 2005, at 2:20 p.m., an instant message transcript of a chat she had with a friend. Using yet a third variation on her "KareBear" nick, Kara Beth seemed to show a different side to her personality.
if it has to do with david and me, we are taking care of it we know what we are going to do. so you are just gonna go tell everyone?"
[snip]The chat between the two friends did not seem to end well. Kara Beth Borden wrote later in all capital letters, the internet equivalent of shouting; "YOU DONT UNDERSTAND WE TOOK THAT RISK THE FIRST NIGHT HE CAME OVER... we said

Charles Starkweather part II
I just heard on Fox that they've dropped the kidnapping charges. Kind of sounds like the police think she went with him willingly--and maybe took part in more than that.
Just heard on the news just now, that the police say she was not kidnapped and planned to marry and settle down with the 18 year old. What a mess.
Thanks for the comment.
Sorry so late in responding...
Oh ...I was just thinking of that story- and what an eerie, haunting movie it was too...
This girl is not going to have an easy life- no matter how it plays out.
"It William Shakespear's Fault. You may want to forward that theory to the killers' lawyers."
Romeo and Juliet killed themselves, not their parents.
It's a good thing this guy got caught now. Even if he never ended up murdering someone, he certainly was on track to leave a trail of massive emotional carnage in his wake.
I guess besides her talking about "the risk" they took, I read into the language, "David and I are going to take care of it."
She apparently gave a statement to police that she went willingly. Also David gave a statement that he couldn't find her and was driving off when she came running down the road after him and jumped in the car.
Latest news is Ludwig gave a statement to police that he intended to kill both of them. He took the weapons to their house specifically. I think it'd be pretty tough to avoid seeking the death penalty for two premeditated murders.
The police have now stated that she went with the 18 year old by choice. She admitted they were going to stay together and get married.
Heard this on the news on the way home.
The DA is dropping kidnapping charges against Lugwig. Kara Borden went willingly.
Not really a "victim" as much as another 14 year old twit.
What really makes this all the more horrific...her siblings (little brother and older sister) were in the house also. She left her nine year old brother to see their parents shot to death. It was the younger brother who went to the neighbors' house. I can't come up with a word to describe the coldness of this girl's heart.
I have been thinking a lot along the same lines. It sure does make it hard for any family members to want to take her in (wouldn't you be a little afraid of her?).
Also, really, can you imagine any foster families wanting to take a risk on having this kid in their home?
I read her older brother was planning to bring his girlfriend home to meet the parents at Thanksgiving, apparently in preparation for marriage. Imagine how he feels--probably torn about now having his siblings to worry about while he was wanting to start a family of his own.

Ludwig and the girl ought to get the death penalty. At 14 years old she is obviously mature enough to decide to help kill her parents and willingly run away to get married with the killer. I say fry her too.
She at least needs to go to jail as an accessory after the fact (if not before).
Romeo and Juliet is not a 'romantic' story. I am female and even when it was required reading in my early teens, it was 'stupid'. Sorry if it makes me unrefined to say so. When I first heard this news, I was inclined that she left without coersion, BUT partly wonder(ed) if it is along the lines of Stockholm syndrome (or as someone else mentioned, she is pregnant).
The poet Dante agrees with you. He placed the historical counterparts of Romeo and Juliet in Hell.
What work is that? I think I remember liking Dante...but not sure. I would really like to read his work, but too much showed in the google search for romeo juliet dante...Thank you! Have a great Thanksgiving!!
At the minimum.

I want you all to rush to google and look up oral sex teen age. and any variation thereof. sex teens.
"And isn't she just 14? I can't imagine having sex OR a boyfriend that young!"
Now, I don't consider blogs to be news. Sometimes, they turn out to be, though. I would like to point out that nowhere in the charges so far .. is "statutory rape". I doubt if they did the rape kit thing on her upon her arrival "home" and the funerals.
Her mother had a twin sister. The logical person to raise these kids would be that twin. HOWEVER. If she can look at that girl over breakfast every morning, she's a MUCH better Christian than I.
I read on a blog out there somewhere.. that the pictures on David's cellphone from Kara - and there are copies out there.. per this blog that is out there somewhere.. the pics are absolutly obscene. Mommas don't let your babies be vixens. I totally believe that David would have killed again, when they ran out of money or when he needed something. So much responsibility goes along with Sex.
