Here are the picks of several college football dignitaries along with Clucko the Chicken. Put down two feed dishes, one representing one team and one representing another and whichever dish the chicken goes to first is the team that's going to win. You'll do just as well. (Really, the pick is a coin flip. Don't laugh; Clucko won the 2000 Bowl Pool among 24 entrants.) You can get to the Expert Picks in the above dropdown under Predictions.
The pickers: Pete Fiutak - CFN, Rich Cirminiello - CFN, Matthew Zemek - CFN, Mark Risley - CFN, John Harris - CFN, Trey Luerssen - Foxsports.com, Eric Edholm - Pro Football Weekly, Steve Greenberg - The Sporting News, Tom Dienhart - The Sporting News, Matt Hayes - The Sporting News, Todd Wright - ESPN Radio, Clucko the Chicken - KFC ...
TOPICS: Sports
KEYWORDS: alabama; auburn; bigten; clemson; football; ironbowl; michigan; ohiostate; rivalries; southcarolina

Fresno might give USC a better game than UCLA.

To: mainepatsfan
I think that is entirely possible, considering the game that Fresno gave Oregon this year.

Thanks Mike . . . we're having the family over tommorrow for all the games. My wife is a Michigan State alum, my sister-in-law is USC, my father-in-law played for Michigan (back in the leather helmet days), a brother-in law that went to Arizona and a pack of ankle-biters that wear jerseys from too many schools to count. Should be fun!

Fresno State coach Pat Hill is an excellent coach and will do a great job preparing his boys to do battle with USC. But there is one important factor he may not be able to overcome: the John Mckay Factor. John McKay was the winningest coach in Trojan history (four national championships), but he is also the stuff of urban legends. Though he passed away in 2001, some say he still haunts the USC sideline.

Before USCs win against Oregon State in 2001, J.K. McKay, who is the son of legendary Trojans coach John McKay, sneaked into the stadium with former USC quarterback Pat Haden and spread his fathers ashes along the USC sideline. Call it a coincidence, call it divine intervention, call it whatever you want, but somehow since the ashes of the winningest coach in USC history were mixed in with the L.A. Memorial Coliseum grass, USC has been unbeatable at home.

USC will go undefeated, it will win the national title and Snoop, Nick Lachey and the ghost of John McKay will be there along the way.

(4th & 9. 1:32 left in the 4th quarter. Down by 3 at Notre Dame. No problem. Fight on!)

Call it a coincidence, call it divine intervention, call it whatever you want, Preparation and execution . . . and that's all Pat Hill will be thinking about because that's all that matters.
But it's a great story! :)

A win like that would really put Fresno on the map.

To: mainepatsfan
    it would yes....

but I don't think they can pull this one off....

    yeah.

USC has too many guns to go too.

It might be close for a while, and if Fresno plays USC in September rather than November, they have an even better shot, but in the end, USC has too much.

Fresno State - USC is here!! My prediction: Close first half, USC begins to pull away in second half. Fresno plays them tough, but USC has too many horses and too much depth.
Bet: Take Fresno and as many points as you can get, but you might not need them all.
