Man Likes Name On Car Tags, But Not 666

Christian Plans To Get New Plates

POSTED: 11:03 am EST November 16, 2005

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- Ken Hasenmueller doesn't want the sign of the devil on his red Oldsmobile.

He was randomly assigned the Wisconsin license plate number 666-KEN.

Hasenmueller said at first he thought it was kind of cool, having tags with his first name. But he said he worries people might think he is a Satanist who had ordered custom plates.

His wife, Jean, added that they're a very strong Christian family.

DMV officials said people who find their plates offensive can turn them in and get new ones for a small processing fee.

Years ago, my husband was randomly assigned 666 as his license number on his sail boat. I made him send it back and get another one. He thought that the state would refuse but he got another number. Of course, the first three numbers of our state capital's zip code are 666.

Can't say that I blame him, MV should know better anyway, everybody knows what 666 stands for.

"I don't like lima beans"

I love lima beans. But brussels sprouts are disgusting. Never had one on my license plate, though.

I've read where cars which had 666 on their plates had higher repair & accident rates. I don't know how true that is, but I wouldn't care to have the plates either.

I don't mind brussel sprouts.

Can we have a news thread on most disliked vegetables?

Brussel sprouts are tolerable if they are swimming in butter. But asparagus? There is just nothing you can do with that.

A computer somewhere has a distorted sense of humour. I'm with Ken, send the license plate back.

I believe this thread is the perfect place to have said discussion. License plates, vegetables, all the news that's fit to eat or put on your car.

When I was a kid I had the devil of a time getting brussel sprouts to stay down.

"But asparagus? There is just nothing you can do with that."

Don't you blaspheme in here, child!! ;o)

Steamed asparagus in butter is to die for!! (as opposed to brussels sprouts, which are to die from).

I'll have to go with Lima Beans as being the worst.

I don't know about Brussel Sprouts. I've successfully avoided them my entire life.

Eggplant is the one for me. I like almost every vegetable there is, including kohlrabi and artichokes, but eggplant has to really be disguised before I can deal with it. Even eggplant parmagiana isn't deep enough cover.
