I was told this is a site with expertise on cats so I came here.
My wife did not take our cat to be fixed like I told her to do and the cat got pregnant.
She went over to under an old shed to have the kittens and nursed them there, too.
Now the kittens are a couple of months old and are starting to move around some, but they are very afraid of humans even though they see the mother around us. They run under the shed when anybody comes near them.
They are starting to get too old to nurse, so I don't know what they will do for food since they want come near anyone.
Does anybody know what we should do about those kittens?
I have a cat I raised from a feral kitten. I found him sick in my back yard. He was near death or I would not have been able to catch him. He still will not have anything to do with any human other than me.n Since they are still young I would trap them and handle them as much as you can. Then they will be adoptable. if you can't catch then just use the food to get them closer and closer to you by sitting with the food far away and them slowly every day move it closer and closer. You will eventually be able to touch them. Good Luck!
You really should overlook it when Crazy Cat Ladies on this site chastise you, Fierce.
Their humor-impairment could be part of a serious illness!

LOL! Yes, that is probably what he has been told, we have trained kitties here, very well trained.
Side note: If this is a request for real assistance with kittens follow the above directions. They will eventually associate you with food and you will become adopted in cat society. Your housecat should eventually bring them about to you. Patience will be key. You might also care to visit this site for advice: http://www.alleycat.org/
They were able to help Pfc. Hammer find a home.

That is just cruel and unusual punishment.
Advice on how to get along, from the guy who doesn't care who he offends, ever :~D
I'm not a veterinarian, but your wife really should not be nursing kittens. Just my two cents...
:) I'm quite the charmer, huh?
LOL!
What DUmmie told you that?
That's the first thing trolls see when they come here. Yeh that explains it!
Great advice and precisely what I would do.
For the most part cats are very resilient and will eventually learn that you are their food source. They won't have much choice but to venture out. They are very instinctive animals.
Good luck!
Play Led Zeppelin "Immigrant Song" for them, say "We are your overlords", and get them all matching helmets.
To 'tame' cats, one must take time and patiencee with them.
Someone must be constantly in view so they get used to people being around.
Food must be available and obviously from the people you want them to get used to.
And, silly as it sounds, uyou must speak to them.
If they get used to your presence and your voice, they will see you as belonging there and not a threat.
