Episode 2 however (save for Natalie in some revealing clothing and save for the battle at the end) was dull.

If you watch all the movies in order like I did, you'll see a lot of fun little things and notice little touches you never had never noticed before.
I didn't like Episode I when I first saw it, but when I watched it again later, I realized it's actually a good movie. The problem was that it couldn't possibly have lived up to the hype (no movie could have). I still don't like Jar-Jar or Jake Lloyd's horrible acting, but they don't sink it. "The Phantom Menace" is a superbly crafted movie.
And I like Natalie's outfits in Episode II as well. I also liked the Clone Wars scene, but that's about it.
