Heard On NPR - "I decide who to vote for ... Democratic Underground" Posted by Mr_Spock Added to homepage Sun Nov 06th 2005, 10:34 PM ET
They had a segment where people were describing what information they used when deciding who to vote for. One person said "I get all my information on who to vote for from the Democratic Underground" - ok, I paraphrased the quote because I can't remember it exactly, but that was the jist of his statement. Kinda cool how much influence the internet (and especially DU) is having on the dialog in this country.
DU Member CatholicEdHead found the Real Media stream of the program. The quote is right around around 1:23. Pretty cool. --Skinner
"You are researching your local election this weekend, right? So where to you get your voting information?" ...
"I usually go to DemocraticUnderground.com"
Marching orders for the mindless....
You know, this really isn't all that bad an idea. Find out who DU wants, and vote against them. I would bet who should not be elected based on DU consensus endorsement would be almost 100% correct 100% of the time.
"That is not logical"
This Spock's head is pointed; not the ears.
What nauseates me is that NPR gets one red cent of any taxpayer monies.
(Must run and vomit now.)
