"Sure, there are thousands of us, cold war veterans who sat and flew on nuclear alert during the last 50 years. Dedicated professionals, rough men ready to unleash hell and brimstone when directed. All molded after Curtis."
Amen! My dad flew B-36's in the late fifties. I recall watching the B-52D's at Anderson AFB practice back in 1980, impressive. Time to drop the olive branch and let the chain mailed fist and lightning bolts go to work!

"reed...I am afraid it will take armed combat in our own streets before we really get it here." No. Even if there were armed combat on our streets, the self-loathers would be shouting from rooftops that it is our fault, that we are getting what we deserve, that we stirred up hatred against us because of imperialism, greed, blood for oil, blah blah blah.

Curtis Lemay made the Ruskies tremble in the night, the commies were terrified of him. Why, he meant exactly what he said about nuking them back to the stone age.

Our elites are full of absolute madness until something threatens their jets, cliffside mansions, retirement villas, etc...We didn't act until Europe was practically lost in World War II.
But look at the French. They became a full and willing partner in Hitler's genocide after fighting for a few weeks and surrendering one of the largest armies in the world.
They always have another way...and it's always based on inaction. (and cowardice) Kind of reminds you of Democrats.

Right. We would never be told the identities of the protesters. Just like in the current MSM, they would be referred to only in generics because of the politically correct madness that rules western society.
If rioting broke out in our streets anyone who advocated dealing directly and harshly with the protesters would become the enemy.

History will record that, in 1794, France outlawed religion and re-named Notre Dame Cathedral "The Temple of Reason".And then Napoleon was crowned in a church by a bishop.
Wrong.
First of all, it was not a "bishop". It was Pope Pius VII.
Secondly, Napoleon used Pope Pius VII and the Catholic Church as a political prop and crowned himself!

Might I remind you that our own government, as an example, has the most liberal abortion laws in the world. The hour before birth, its still just a clump of cells.
What does that have to do with France?
Just because the America of the Democratic Party is an abomination does not make France something that should be admired.
You did not address my main point which is that this will be good for France in the long run as it will help bring France out of its self righteous arrogance and bring France back into reality.

You do realize we are talking about France? (At least we were.)
Modern France, which you mistakenly called "Christian"?
I'm very aware that ALL NON-islamic nations and peoples are at risk from Mad Mo's murdering animals, are you?
You have heard of "tough love" right?
You do realize that the sooner the NON-islamic world gets to understanding that islam is the blood enemy of ALL NON-islamic nations and peoples, the sooner the filth that is called islam will be destroyed?
You do understand "construction" always starts with "destruction" don't you?
You do understand that sometimes to get the "mule's" attention, (esp. a French mule), that you need a 2x4, right?
Do you?

Actually, when I referred to radical Protestants and Christians, I was thinking of 17th century French history, when there were massacres. Such history is oblivious to the French masses, but it runs through the veins of their decision-makers. They ARE Frenchie-scared of Islamofascists, and not because the latter are fascists; because they are not secularists, like the original fascists!

Good stuff. Saved me from posting it but..
I can't find a downside here. france and the EU can wake up or fall. If they wake up - great. If the fall, we'll clean up and rebuild one more time.
EU needed a lesson and france is the perfect place for the lesson.

Don't misunderstand me. I don't think for a second that the people on the streets are all religious zealots. But I do think it is possible for them to be used by religious zealots, and be willing participants, and be drunken party time punks at the same time.
Islamic fascists will do anything-anything to further their goals. They have demonstrated this. We ignore it at our peril.

There is a reason why history repeats itself. It's because people don't change.
Who will bail out the French this time?
