And personally I find if I write something out long hand then type it up on the computer, I get a better product then just sitting a the computer.....this is true for me also.
Another thing I found out is my creativity manifest at the strangest times and if I don't have a paper and pen with me or some sort of paper (napkins, receits will do) to write it down I loose it. So now I have a little note pad and pen in my purse, of course you men would want to find on small enough for you pocket.
In one of my creative writing classes they recommend you leave a small recorder in your car or purse. I would feel odd talking into a recorder in a public place, but it sure is handy in a car.

Good mornign sweet caroline :) A lot of my ideas came from dreams here. Which I type on the computer. My novel's A.I. construct came from a dream as did many of the space battles (including the boarding and raiding of the space station in chapter three). I usually day-dream the scenes and idea then type them. But I can do so writing too. I should carry post-it-notes (small enough for pocket) for when I am out though so I write that stuff down too.

if you are a christian and man of faith, one of the big factors is just to trust God and HIS timing.
We mess things up when we take things into our own hand quite often (take for example Abraham ... and the muslim race that resulted when he did things "his way").
Be open to all the wonderful experiences in life as you grow as a person and become a better potential husband.
I have been single again for quite a few years & in times of lonliness almost married on several occasions.. all quite nice, educationed, considerate, most fairly well set financially.
deep down something was missing & I am glad looking back that I remained single. There are worse things than being alone.. and being with a WRONG person is one of them.
they all remain good friends & I am still trusting God for help IF I am to remarry .. before I make it to the nursing home!
now where is my walker?

WARNING: They are extremely addictive, and you will laugh. Listen all the way to the end, especially Mr. Tambourine Man.GAWD, it's about time I finally heard a memorable version of these songs!
Why, oh why, was "he's dead Jim" such a popular quote, when "I'm dead, Bones" is so appropriate?

post it's is a great idea!
I have tons of napkins that have scribbled plots and ideas on them. It seems ideas come to me often when I'm in a resturant! Could be because I worked in them all my life and many of my characters are inspired by the people I've met.
I have had ideas come in my dreams, but I'm to tired to wake up and write them down.

And I thought that I was alone, in that many of my ideas for poems and such(some of which wrote here), have come to me, when I was driving, resting, working, or even in dreams or pre-dreams(that state where you are "almost" asleep, but not quite ).
As a matter of fact, the idea for the novel I wrote, came to me, in a dream, back in 1993. But when I began to put together an idea for it, and told a few people, they made fun of it, and so, I tried to forget it. But I could NOT forget the idea, and just kept working on it in my mind. Finally,. about 6 years ago, after a few encouraging words from a coworker, during idle chat, I began to put it together. I completed it over 2 years ago, and am now rewriting it, into the script format, to enter into the contest.

Yes, I was discouraged by some also and in a sense did stop, only because of living situations though. My characters and their stories are still developing in my mind. Some day I will have the time to write it all down.

About Brenda, and her attitude toward me, I will tell you, But i really hesitate to do so,as most of you will most likely agree with her, and think I should be in a padded room.
The main reason Brenda does not want me around her, is because of my nervous/sinus problem, that I have had since a kid. It manifests itself, in my coughing, sometimes pretty hard, and sometimes feeling like I am going to be sick. But, it passes quickly, in under a minute, or so. This has been a problem, for MANY people I know, and especially women, they just don't want to deal with it. (IIRC, Kim did NOT mind, but then, in order to even work at that job, I took about 3 rolaids a day, to suppress my nervous stomach, and is was not that bad. Still It did happen sometimes, and I am pretty sure she knew about it, but did not let it bother her. Not to mention, my nerves felt at peace around her, anyway.)
But anyway, Brenda is embarrassed by me, when I start coughing, and so, I go to the bathroom, or out doors to do it, so it will not bother her. THIS seems to embarrass her, too. Plus, my nerves are at their WORST around her, and I am always feeling queasy just being around her, so my nervous attacks happen quite a bit around her.
Last week,I had a couple of incidents, and it was obvious Brenda had been offended. After the second time I came back, Brenda started on me, about how I made it hard for her to eat, and such. I got upset, and walked out. During my absence, she told my sister I was making her sick, and that I would never last long on a date(true), and she has also told her, many times, no woman would have me, I talk about stupid things, I am a boring person, and so on. All of this hurts me.
Now, as for little Mrs. Princess:: is she perfect? NO!! She has a REAL anexoric problem, and will NOT allow herself, to gain just a bit of weight, to be healthy. She is also a VERY negative person, always seeing the worst side of AYTHING. She ran her husband off, over 6 years ago, and is now sad she did.

I hear you. Just not easy. I fear being alone my whole life. Fear it is meant to be. And if it is true than me and god will have a 'disagreement' to say the least.I am sorry to hear what you went through. Yes you may be right about things worse than being alone but how will I ever know what love is like if I do stay alone?

Thanks, I saw my friend Paul Denton here talking about his book. I like to encourage book writers because not many people do.
We all have a story or two we could write about, but many of us are discouraged by family or friends.Often writers are reminded that it is not the most profitable endeavor but, I don't think most writers care about that, at least not fiction writers.
Some of us have had these stories rumbling around in our head for years and it would be great to print them and have someone else enjoy their adventures or mis-adventures and unburden our minds at the same time..
