Natalie Portman(the "hot links" aren't hot! sorry).

Natalie Portman was born in Jerusalem, Israel, to Avner, a fertility specialist, and Shelley, an artist. At the age of three she moved to Washington, DC, but soon relocated to Syosset, New York, where she spent the rest of her childhood. At the age of 11 she was spotted by an agent searching for a child model, which started off her acting career. six months later at age 12, she debuted in the critically acclaimed film Léon (1994), directed by Luc Besson.

Although the movie was a huge hit, it caused her family some problems due to her Lolita-esque role. She then landed supporting roles in Heat (1995), Everyone Says I Love You (1996), Beautiful Girls (1996), and Mars Attacks! (1996). Afterwards, she concentrated on high school in Syosset, where she was a straight-A student. She acted only during the summer.

Portman became a leading lady when she landed the role of Queen/Senator Amidala for Star Wars Episodes I, II, and III. This helped her win roles in such films as Anywhere But Here (1999) and Where the Heart Is (2000). She has also had a successful stage career, appearing in such plays as "The Seagull" and "The Diary of Anne Frank."

She is now in working on her acting career and graduated from Harvard w/psychology degree. She says that her future in acting will become very selective due to her choice to pursue psychology as a working career.

cyberhug to all the lonely guys & gals out there.. but some ideas.

I am an outdoorsy person but even if you aren't you would benefit from the centering a big or small hike might provide. If you have a cat/dog take them along(they do attract attention from opposite sex). Keep cat in back pack etc & let it play around here & there. Some people have their cats on leashes but often run into problems w/dogs on trail who think this is "sport".

I have seen people with their pet tropical birds, rodents, ferrets etc.

Dont be afraid to approach & chat opposite sex folks hiking. Smile & say hi to everyone. Look them squarely in eye. Most are very approachable & would enjoy having someone to walk/chat with. IF there are two together, they ALREADY have their walk/chat pal. there are OODLES of folks alone on trails every time I am out there.

Dress casually & wear good walking shoes. Take a camera & capture some of the beauty of this time of year.

I used the word "centering". I have found when people do a decent walk/hike they stir up the endorphins & get some good circulation & really have great think time. Maybe you will meet someone (don't have that as your primary goal) but often you wont. I have found I meet on each outing several men who I chat with & often will later go out with.

Guys don't just look for the Scarletts & Natalies of the world. Yes, fun to fantasize on.. but in reality the less glamorous woman will be more centered & often a better companion. Gals, same thing.. Orlando Bloom & Brad Pitt might be rather hot, but the average looking man will often be much more considerate & less self centered.

Ego centric guys & gals get old very fast, don't they?

If you are a bicyclist (or used to be) this too is a good way to meet folks. I have found that match.com type sites ; singles dances; etc are not the most ideal way to meet QUALITY folks. Seems there is a lot of game playing & misrepresentations(LIES) that are prevalent at these

AK is STILL Down. I have gotten a couple of neat Audio items of late, including a DAT deck, for about $50 altogether, that I took a chance on. I finger-cleaned the head drum(DAT decks use spinning heads like VCR'S), and it is recording, and playing well, at this moment.(for so long I have wanted a DAT...... Now, It looks like I got one!) I wanted to let the gang know of that Ebay find, as well as A Realistic SCR-4500 cassette/receiver, the BIG one, with a 60w/ch. amp, and such. I got that for about 50 too, including ship. Another 'bay find.

Nice haul you have there. Do they still make DATs? I did get a hold of a Panasonic RA-6500/6600 (not sure which version, one was 8-Track, the other cassette) with a cassette and radio/tuner in one. Plays very well too, I think I might get 40 watts per channel, I'm not sure, I got to take a look. If I ever rearrange my room, I'd like to bring it up, would love to play my Playstation's audio through it. B-) I'd love to hook up my 1964 Sony Tapecorder 600 reel-to-reel through it as well.

But alas, the AK site is nowhere to be found.....:(

Bummer. B-( I know, the server seemed to be choaking on me that night and then it went down for good. Wonder if it's been hacked or something, usually if it is hardware, you have a mirror host running it as a backup.

Writer and sci-fi geek here. Just hard to find a club or place with similar interests. Especially the writing part (I am at 120 pages out of a planned 400).

Yeah, I have a few ideas I'd like to write about that is outside the RPG realm but I haven't found the time, I'm too busy working and when I'm not working, too busy running. There are times I think I have more miles clocked on me that Osama Bin Laden, sigh.....

I shouldnt be saying this, but it is hard to let god guide me. I will not be young forever and there are times where I feel maybe I am not meant to meet a girl.

I know. It is hard to give up the controls and think all is lost. I know myself jobwise, I kept in control but I kept beating my head against the wall. I've gotten close but never was able to cross the finish line. One week, I just said, OK, God, I need your guidance and help" and a week later a good job came through at the right time. In the economic funk I was in, I doubt I could remain floating for much longer. I'm still not out of the woods but I do believe I'm working towards that goal. I just have too much on my plate now for girls, maybe God is trying to tell me that. Heck, I'm more stable economically than my buddy who brought his girl down from Canada.

very cool :) I never thought that was painted by a woman. Very cool though.

There were many, many female artists at the time, Eda Soest Doench that I mentioned along with M.E. (Emma) Musselman (I know the applesauce people with the same name came from Lancaster, PA I think, she must be related to them) Augusta Reimer is another one that comes to mind readily. For a guy, I also like the work of Karl Kleinschmidt who did work for "The Delineator" about 1910 or so:

Sorry if that upset you. I write on the computer and do not have a laptop lol. My hand writing is terrible hehe.

My handwriting is horrible too. I am 39 but have the penmanship of a 1st grader. B-) I have a laptop too but the screen died, IBM did have a defect in a PC board in the screen itself with the cable, but it is way out of warranty so I have to hook a monitor to it to use it. At least it still works. I bought it used, next time I'll get a new one, it doesn't have to be a high end machine just something basic for me so I can do my work in the living room.

Greetings

My current obsession Carrie, the red-headed vixen from the Discovery Channel show Mythbusters.

She's the total package, smart, funny, hot, and extremely red headed.

My knees go wobbly with redheads.

Ah well...she's probably married, or..a lesbian...or something...

You can often locate them on www.gunsamerica.com and www.auctionarms.com

Of course, you have to find a local gun shop to receive them for you, which isn't a huge deal usually.

I want a Remington 870 Marine Magnum myself.

Yeah, she is hot. I don't think she's married, or a lesbian, but she is a vegetarian, and therefore possibly a big-time liberal.

Kari Byron

small text
large text

While Kari Byron was studying film and sculpture at San Francisco State University, her parents were wondering what kind of job she'd actually end up with in the real world. She’d be writing, directing and starring in B-level schlock-horror films one day; the next she'd be sculpting intricate model dragons for Dungeons & Dragons fans.

Luckily for us that all turned out to be perfect training for the world of MythBusters.

After graduating, Kari began her career as an artist, working in sculpture and painting and holding successful exhibitions at some of San Francisco's leading galleries.

Her sculpting skills then led her into the world of model-making and toy-prototyping: a job with Jamie Hyneman at M5 Industries. It was here that Kari got her first big break with the Mythbusters team. During the "vacuum toilet" segment of one of the first episodes (which examined whether a person could get suctioned into an airline toilet), Jamie needed a 3-D scan of a person's backside, and Kari had the right ... well, you know. Basically, she was in the right place at the right time.

The rest is history (although we'd be remiss if we overlooked Kari's former job experience working in a kosher bagel store and posing as a store mannequin to foil shoplifters).

An erratic fencer and knife thrower, Kari has been chased by machine-gun-toting Egyptian police for painting a mural in Dahab, has trekked in the Himalayas, and has scuba-dived in most of the world oceans.

YES,

That's the vixen to which I was referring.

I don't care about the whole vegetarian thing, even though at this moment, I am eating a BLT with low fat mayo from Subway.

I wonder if she would like a middle-aged, deer hunting, country boy who likes Cadillacs, four wheel drives, Glocks, bass fishing, cigars, and zombie movies?
