Toby, you're going to have fun decorating your nest...your own spot! Have a great morning, FRiend!
The low down on Michael Moore, the hypocrit hypocrit's master...
First, what Moore slams in his "documentaries"--
**Roger and Me--GM
**The Big One--Nike and PayDay
**Bowling for Columbine--American gun industry
**Farhenheit 911--Oil companies
**Sicko [in production]--Drug companies and HBO
**TV Nation and The Awful Truth--HMOs and defense contractors
Moore claims to own not one single share of stock. Technically true, but in a foundation fully controlled by him and his wife, Moore:
**Owned stock in pharaceutical and medical companies--Pfizer, Merck, Genzyme, Elan PLC, Eli Lily, Becton Dickenson, Boston Scientific
**Owned stock in energy companies--Sunoco, Noble Energy, Schulmberger, Williams Companies, Trasnocean Sedco Forex, Anadarko
**Sold shares he owned in Haliburton, making 15 percent profit
**Used proceeds from Haliburton sale to buy stock in: Noble, Ford, GE, AOL Time Warner, McDonalds
**Owns stock in Honeywell, Boeing, Loral
**Has a net worth in the eight-figures range, but only contributed $36,000 to charity--but that was to friends in the film business or cultural organizations that would give him a sounding board for his books and films
**Has complained about the lack of African-Americans in prominant positions and has suggested he will only hire minorities who come from the working class, and then only blacks. BUT--Fahrenheit 911 had 14 producers, 3 editors, 1 production manager, and 1 production coordinator, ALL WHITE; Bowling for Columbine, 13 of 14 producers, two production executives, the cameraman, film editor, and music composer, ALL WHITE; TV Nation, 13 producers, 4 film editors, 10 writers, but no blacks.
**Says he is part of the working class, but flew to London on the Concorde, stayed at the Ritz, and also booked a room at a cheap hotel where he would meet with journalists and present himself as "a man of humble circumstances."
BARF.
