It rained on us coming home from the train. Just enough to contribute to yet ANOTHER collision in the intersection just south of the station.
Stupid was the primary factor; the rain just added a degree of excitement to everyone standing around looking at their wrecked cars.

Rain Delay
It rained on us coming home from the train.
More spice to the moment for the pain,
As idiot drivers came our way.
To perfectly end our holiday.
Now the bent metal, and the injured paint,
And all the used-to-was that aint,
Stupidity thrives on a liquid diet,
Dry humors best, I wish theyd try it.
Humidity must be a very close kin,
The dampening down of the wit within,
Ive met my share of the Iddity troupe,
Both that loser Hume, and his cousin Stupe.

No, not us, thankfully. We just had to make a quick left and take an alternate because they were completely blocking A Street.

A bulky figure steps into the dim cavern of the smithy like a lost soul returning home. Checking the racks of tools he begins to set things out for a project roughly outlined and dimensioned on the chalk board to one side.
*bang*
*thud*
Grabbing an odd looking gas torch from a wall niche, he ambles over to the first of the forges and opens a side panel at its base. A practiced turn of the wrist and...
*pop* *pop* *hiss*
*whoosh*
*rumble-rumble-rumble*
The familiar glow of Vulcan's Breath lessens the necessary gloom and brings a faint smile to the smiths lips. Shoving several bars of various metals into the flames, he goes about setting up an assortment of pincers, clamps, draw hammers, flatters, hardies for his project. Checking the heat on the first bar of metal with a pair of tongs, he nods approval and moves the bar to the nearest of the anvils.
*ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink*
*clunk* *whoosh* *whoosh* *whoosh*
*clunk*
*ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink* *ting-ting-tink*
"It's gonna be a long day...", the smith mumbles to himself. Then he thinks about what the final product will be and gives an evil little chuckle that rumbles around the room ominously...

I believe we've started an international incident...
Assault raises tensions in Pacific

It appears that even the Dear Leader is not safe from Western capitalist oppression. Mr. Kim was reportedly attacked in a most violent way on the afternoon of December 28th by an assailant identified only as "Monkey Face." The incident occured on an internet website frequented by Western capitalist oppressors. Seventeen witnesses, sixteen of them the Dear Leader's top lieutenants and generals witnessed the savage attack. "The Dear Leader was only trying to make peace," one said. Ted Turner, media mogul and close friend of the Dear Leader was informed of the assault shortly afterwards by one of Mr. Kim's closest advisors. "I've never seen Kim attack anybody. You know, those news websites are for retards and Republicans," he stated on Wednesday.
The Americans with Disabilities Act was unavailable for comment.
Mr. Kim has called for the White House to issue an apology, or face the possibility of delays in the nuclear proliferation talks. President Bush has not yet made an apology.
He got me good, DO...I'm just now coming around to some semblance of awareness...*gasp* (kicking feebly...not stirring up much dust...)
