Someone else told me that it was from the movie "Psycho." Believe it or not, I don't know anything about the storyline of that movie. I've not much of a life. :-)
I'm afraid so. And that's not the transcript of spoken remarks, it's from the manuscript of a speech she wrote for herself.
Oh, good grief, what would her Supreme Court opinions have been like. I am glad we will never know.
Yes, that is correct. Sorry, I should have mentioned the name of the movie as well.
someone else would have had to write the opinions, and some one else wouldhave had to tell her what to put in them.
Are you saying conservatives who opposed Miers are going to get you in the shower?
The uber-right were the ones who did the heavy lifting in GOTV. Don't forget it!
Or better stated:
"Many of today's leaders lack courage."
Geez. How difficult was that?
You should switch your regitsration to Democrat, I feel you'd be much happier there.
You'd get your abortion rights, with "moderate" limitations. You'd get censorship of political groups, with some 527's allowed, and you'd get huge budget increases, a Great Society sort of LBJ government, and lots and lots of guests from Mexico.

"Chris? White House on line 1. Something about wanting to hire you as a speech writer for the President's Counsel!"
I'll take it. That way I am a shoe in for the next pick!
I wasn't addressing the message...and neither were you, in the first post of yours to which I responded...so let's not try to change the subject. For the record, I disagree quite strongly with theFIRMbss over the Miers nomination, but he is entitled to the opinion he has.
I was simply responding to your snide casting of aspersions on another poster's intelligence, when you weren't even bright enough notice that he was writing in haiku and not free verse. I thought it humorous.
Note to tFb: I'm pinging you because I don't like having a discussion about a poster without that person knowing. Feel free to ignore this if you like.
I did further research and I'm afraid you're right about Bush not actually making that statement.
"This was another article on Bush losing faith with top aides:"
Hmmm, is this the MSM doing their part in carrying on the talking points of the DNC? The Dim Senators and talking heads have been on the Yap Shows the past few days saying "Bush needs some new blood, it's a good thing - other 2nd term Presidents have done it, he should do. He needs to change some of the people in his Administration".
Were they around earlier this year?? Do they remember (or even know) how many people he changed in his cabinet when the press said - oooooh look at all the people that are leaving. A few of the more truthful ones, such as some on FNC, reminded them that this is normal - all of the others did it - these are highly stressful, burn-out jobs.
You want to know about heavy lifting. I'll show you heavy lifting. A U.S. soldier kisses the dog tags of a fallen colleague during a memorial ceremony at Camp Marez in Mosul. President Bush paid tribute to our troops in his radio address Saturday.
Our soldiers and their Commander-in-Chief have done the truly heavy lifting of trying to keep us safe from more terrorist bombings and bioweapons attacks (e.g., anthrax) for more than four years. Non-stop, 24x7x365.
When you admonish people not to forget your puny version of "heavy lifting," spare a thought for the real deal and those who are doing it, including George W. Bush, the man so many of you love to disrespect at the drop of a hat. (To disagree is one thing; to disrespect is quite another.)
By the way, don't arrogate to yourself the notion that only you "real" conservatives did some campaigning. This "Bushbot" worked to help elect and support GWB starting in 1999. I stuffed envelopes, made phone calls, walked precincts, manned campaign offices, gave up nights and weekends, delivered yard signs, registered voters -- all of it and then some. And I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.
I wish he'd return to the Bush after 911 -- before Laura told him to cool it because the Europeans thought he was acting like a cowboy.
Thanks. Usually

The anonymity of internet forums does indeed have a way of revealing the true driving forces behind a person's thoughts and actions. It's strange how we can tell others nothing about ourselves, but we are at the same time displaying what really motivates us.
