I had no idea FR had a singles thread! Ping!

It's brand new! Tonight our topics are your best practical joke OR your best costume. You get to pick. Fess up.

Are you going to a Halloween party and if so, what will you be? Or perhaps you'd like to share some story from when you were young???

My best costume was Cat in the Hat last year at my children's Halloween parade :)

I'm married with 3 on the hip.

I just came on this thread to ping BB here. He is a sweetheart that could use a good FR woman ;)

I was always a real good kid in high school, which gave me a lot of leeway to pull pranks, because the teachers would never in a million years believe that good ol' Scott could do wrong.

One day, I was in the library with a bunch of friends and I started pulling the security stickers off of books and dropping them in purses, jackets, textbooks, whatever I could find.

After a bunch of students set off the alarm and were checked one-by-one, the teacher came up to the table and said, "Whoever did this needs to fess up, because this is a very serious matter. We're looking at a minimum of detention."

I stood up and said, "Mrs. ____________, it was me."

She said, "Now Scott, you don't need to lie and cover for someone else -- that's very dishonest."

"But it WAS me!" I exclaimed.

"Enough of this!" she said. One more word out of you, and you are going to get detention."

I shut up, and they never did believe it was me.

When I think of "3 on the hip", I think of 3 young enough to carry. Who is "BB".

Mine could be 18 and driving and I could still carry them. 'on the hip' meaning they still need tending and can't (or won't) do for themselves.

BB is Blurblogger. He is brilliant, sensitive and available. ;) Shhh, don't tell him I told you though.

Have fun!

>>>2) What is the best costume you've ever worn?

It's going to be this year's costume...

I'm going to be the thing that the ACLU fears almost as much as Boy Scouts; A WASP-Male Conservative. :)

My first thought is holy cow, you guys had "security stickers" in school. That's odd. I realize you're young and probably from a big city school but it's still a strange thought.

Next thought was even good kids have a mischievous spirit. My eldest, after a snowstorm in college, they all got together and shoveled huge piles of snow against any door that administrative people would go in, with the thought they could get out of school the next day if they weren't able to get into the school...it worked.

I've always wanted to go as Torgo, but only if The Master approves.
