UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOR IN PLAME CASE!!!

My sources are relaying to me information that may be very good news re: the Plame Case.

Although I cannot substantiate this info 100%, I am receiving this from sources very close to the investigation and grand jury:

1. No indictments for Rove, Libby or any member of the administration.

2. Pobable indictments for Vallerie Plame, Joseph Wilson and one as yet unknown high ranking Congressional Democrat.

3. No wrong doing or misuse of intelligence on the part of the administration.

4. Possible criminal conduct in an attempt to smear the White House on the part of Congressional Democrats, Plame and Wilson.

(Again, take this with a grain of salt but this is what I am hearing from my sources and the D.C. grape vine)

I'm not sure how much you have looked into this whole deal, but the Forged Document that claimed Saddam tried to purchase Yellow Cake from Niger was turned over to us from our Embassy in Italy surfaced after Joe Wilson went to Niger, Yet in his book he claims the forged document was the main reason why he went to Niger. That documents was quickly determined to be a forgery, but somehow that same document ended up in the written report to the UN that backed up Colin Powell's speech to the U.N. one week after President Bush addressed the U.N. Assembly on Sept. 12th, 2002

Because that document was placed in the written report, it caused the British to stop sharing all intel with us from that day forward. That was because it was clear that we had a mole in our Intel agencies that was trying to embarrass the President

We all hope it's true. Trust but verify. Until that happens, spreading unsubstantiated rumors is not helpful unless you enjoy places like DU where facts don't matter.

I am aware of that and I believe your theory. But I also see on another thread here that forged documents may have surfaced prior to Wilson's trip.

Still, I have taken keen interest in reports that Fitzgerald asked and received the Italian government's report on their investigation of the forgeries. I would think that this would put Wilson/CIA in the cross hairs. And it makes the Pincus article interesting in that iy says the WH didn't get the information from the CIA.

Thanks, Here is another thing to think about... Anybody who is sent on a secret mission by the CIA MUST sign a "Confidentiality Agreement" that subjects you to criminal prosecution for sharing any information about your assignment. In order to share any info you must get clearance to do so. This is something Joe Wilson must not have done, because he published a detailed account of his trip to Niger in his Op Ed in the NYT's and until that Op Ed, George Tenet was not aware of his trip or his mission.

This is all the proof any credible prosecutor would need to decide that Joe Wilson is not a credible witness and his involvement should raise all the red flags imaginable

My own take is in support of RedState's 3 points.

Dems need to be viewed as having "gravitas". They go for indictments against Libby and Rove on this matter, all they (Dems) will be encouraging is more moonbatiness in their support and voting base. Plamegate is a conspiracy within a conspiracy. A "whirlwind" political manuever.

And worst? Dem foilables have been so obviously made clear, that should Dem's get the Presidency/House/Sen, their own base is going to be holding Dems up to higher scrutiny, if the base doesn't get what it wants (gay marriage, abortion on demand, etc.). Two cents, here.
