Your family sounds ever so much more exciting than mine. The worst that happened in my family is that an ancestor of my paternal grandmother was disowned and put out of fellowship for going to fight in the Civil War. They were Quakers, ya see, and Quakers do not do such things.

A burglar was caught by surprise as he went about his business in the home of an old Quaker gentleman. Turnig around, he was all the more surprised to see the pacifist levelling a shotgun at him. "Hey," he shouted, "isn't that aginst your religion?!" The Quaker, unmoving, replied calmly, "Sir, for all the world I would not harm thee, but thou standest where I am about to shoot."
