I just thought that it might be neat if willing freepers would post a screenshot of their desktop. Try to scale the images to a height of no more than 700 pixels..

This is my background. It's a house my Great-Grandfather built, where 5 generations of my family have lived and are still living.

Congratulations. Another Rush 24/7 fan. I joined Rush 24/7 about 30 minutes after Rush announced it and I also get his pod casts every day.

Tabbed browsing is one of the
best features of Firefox.
The majority of my browsing is done with Firefox. I've had very few problems using it (knock on wood).

xfce, and fvwm is there a distro native to those desktop?
seems like you have two options
1.installed distro with 60,000 programs -kde and gnome distros
2.live cd(dsl, knobix)light and slow(cd lag)
people say there are too many distros, i say they need one more.
one simple easy install without every program ever written for linux.
i really liked several of distro on my faster box but it's running windows to support GB-PVR and really would like something simple to run on my 633mhz box just for basic stuff.
must have
samba(awesome program!) does a better job then M$
convert cd to mp3
surf the web fast(not firefox or koncour both are too slow)
email client
ftp server/client
maybe a web server-must be easy to set
which distro would you go with with those requirements?

which distro would you go with with those requirements? Check out DSL or Puppy
They are both LiveCDs, but can be installed to your HDD if you want. Both are light-weight (DSL is only ~48M and Puppy is ~60M or ~90M, depending on your choice), and you can add whatever individual packages you want.

Yep; I'm also a charter member. Now that he has podcasting, it is even more valuable to me; I just listen on my way to and from work, and am able to not miss any of his shows. The only thing that is odd about it is that you don't get any bumper music, but you get used to that...
