Posted on 10/18/2005 12:23:30 PM PDT by HHKrepublican_2
My little brother (12) said he heard about a small bomb going off on the GWB earlier today, is this old news, been proven wrong or just completely fake.

Hey, this is a imminent-death-and-destruction, unreliably-sourced, fear-and-rumor-mongering vanity thread, not a woe-is-me-I-have-stinky-trash-and-sore-arms vanity thread.
Geeze, get with it, man.

My 10-year-old niece pooh-poohs the aliens on the White House lawn rumor started by your 4-year-old nephew. But she's sticking to her own story that terrorists are planning to take out the Nickolodeon studios and this has her and her friends in an absolute panic and they are filling up their TiVO's with "Full House" reruns just in case.
Can anybody debunk these rumors for my niece so that her worst fears can be put at ease?

Where did the "A moose bit my sister" thing originate, and what does it mean? It took me forever to find out about "stuned" and "beeber".

It's in the opening credits of Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail. There's an irreverent monologue going on in text beside the opening credits.
Folks on here generally use it as a non sequitur to illustrate that they believe the post or thread is nonsensical.
