Seriously, you should think about doing a poetry collection, if you not already working on one. Your writing is vivid and evocative, and makes me think.
That's what poetry is for ...
And don't knock nightmares! Clive Barker, Quentin Tarantino, H. P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King have all done quite nicely writing nightmares!

Just so y'all know, NaNoWriMo's website has a new feature that will let writing buddies keep up with their word counts.

In anticipation of the launch of our brand-new author pages, Russ has added a new beta feature to the site: The NaNoWriMo Friend list. You can find a link for it on your profile page (it's over there to the left). With it, you'll be able to keep track of your writing buddies' word counts once November gets rolling. It looks a little rough now, but it will be an integral part of the new Author Profile pages when they launch on November 1. Yay, Russ!
